Summer is slowly ending.
The official Autumn date is 20 March, but we can already see signs of it.
A weak sun was battling the clouds again on a cool day, as you will see in here, and this is a before and after show.
Amazing to see the quick changes that the weather wreaks. Strong winds are the culprits, and we even had a short stint of fairy rain. One would never expect anything like it, but in saying this, we have become used to it. We had a high wind, and at the same time a low wind. The high wind transported lovely blue sky and white clouds, and the low wind brought in much darker clouds at the same time. I will first show you the high wind clouds, and then some before and after shots.
And here below are the before and after shots. Note that nothing stayed as is, because the light and dark show endured for the whole day. I just took a 30-minute look at it in the morning.
This was the before.
And after a few minutes, this was the after.
A big white cloud above the mountain.
And this below was the after on the same mountain.
An almost bright cloud behind the tree.
And soon it became darker.
The before was an almost clear shot that I could get of a mountain.
But the after closed it down.
Sing me a song sweet weather man, that will tell me where the ants found the wisdom to know that rain is on its way. Whenever a long line of ants appears on our home's kitchen counter then we know that soon the water will fall down from the sky. Not immediately, but in a day or two it will rain. You can bet your socks on it, as it's the truth. So, we are happy, as we need every drop of rain, especially in the catchment areas to fill our dams. They are in a sorry state, with very low levels.
We have researched the prediction of rain by ants, that talks about their antennae being able to sense temperature changes and alerts them that rain is on its way. We have also found a great site that explains it all, but I don't know if the URL of the site can be published in here. So, do me a favor and Google "How do black ants know that rain is coming". I am sure that you will also be impressed by what you read, about the ants' intrinsic abilities.

Here in the northern hemisphere we are waiting for winter to end and spring to come. On 21st of march spring will be official here but it already feels like spring...
Amazing, and you guys have the official spring date one day after ours. We have now been dumped into a 3-week heat wave, with the temperature for tomorrow being 38C. Today was 37 degrees. Maybe summer is on its last legs, and it just wants to remind us that it will be back next year :)
