Stormy days here, and let's look at some birds.

Winter has arrived early, with its cold and wet.

And yet, I managed to get a few shots, as you will see below.

We are in a winter rainfall area, and as usual, it is accompanied by cold weather. Of course, as usual it doesn't bother me, and I took all of the photos while sitting in our front garden. The weather man reckoned that rain was on its way, and thus far the predictions were 100% correct. I really wouldn't want a job like that, as over here, the wind can change direction at the drop of a hat, to upset everything.
You will also see constant changes in the sky's colors that are in the background of the photos.

At first, I will show you some grey skies. This is a Sacred Ibis.

And here is a silhouette of a little Sunbird.
017.JPG

Here the background color changed, and a flock of birds came over.
028.JPG

I think it is a flock of homing pigeons.
030.JPG

I thought that palm tree's color looked lovely against the dark blue sky.

Finally, the grey color won, and this Ringneck Dove tried to warm itself in the weak glow of the sun.

Our house is situated right below the Milky Way, and on clear nights we sit outside in the back garden counting the satellites that come over from all directions. The highest number of satellites that we could count in one night was 50, and over periods we have also seen the flashes of meteorites. A strange new hobby, I know, but that's just the way we are as we enjoy the full contents of nature.

We try to fully live out each phase of our lives, especially as I am in my golden years and apart from health hiccups, life is good. Yes, there are many bad periods but then again there is always hope. Now this word hope is an anchor in life as it guards against depression and surrender. Someone said, there is always hope in any situation, and we firmly believe that it is the truth. Everything in life has a purpose, and it's up to all of us to find and embrace that purpose.
Such is life.

I hope you enjoyed the pictures and the story.

It's been getting warmer here in the northern hemisphere for the last few weeks. 27 degrees yesterday in London!!? The birds look happy enough 🤷‍♂️😂👍

Yes, my daughter lives in London, and they are very happy there. 27C is like a warm (not hot) day over here in autumn. Our hot days in summer are in the late 30C to early 40Cs.
The birds teach us endurance. !LOL

When the summer retreats and you are looking at a few months of cold and grey/white, you can’t help but pause and think of your mortality. I love the saying that you can choose not to enjoy winter, but you will have the same amount of winter and less happiness. Especially true up here in Canada!

Love the pictures of the sky and the birds. They are the one picture this iPhone can’t take very well no matter how I try. Enjoy the night sky and the satellites!

We are frail human beings, and even a small insect like a mosquito can kill us. I like all seasons, and Canada is famous for its cold methinks.

Thank you and maybe you should invest in a camera sometime?
That's the thing about winter, cloudy skies, and we miss many nights because of it, as it is no use to go out to count the satellites.

I go by the notion that the best camera is the one you have with you and that is my phone for sure. My little one has a nice digital SLR so maybe I should think of that when it is bird watching time.

Thank you, and I share your passion of catching birds in flight on camera. Most things in nature can get complicated, and it is fun to decipher its secrets.

The world is a system and each country has a different climate. Here in our city, summer has just begun in our country and it will be very hot here for the next four to six months. These birds are looking much more beautiful.
