Some nature snippets.

I have some different picture stories in here for you to enjoy.

Unfortunately, the Citrus Swallow-tail butterfly got into a fight, as it lost a big chunk of its wing or maybe a strong wind gust slammed it into something sharp.

We were anchored at home without transport, as our car was at a car body repair business, and I will show you what happened in another post. No, we were not in an accident, and nobody got hurt, as the culprit was the wind. In any case at times like this when we cannot get out into nature, I simply spend some time in our front garden. It was one of those hot days with a beautiful clear blue sky, until after lunch time when some clouds started coming in.

I took the tag shot above on the zoom, and here below is what it looked like without the zoom.

A little dwarf gecko sat looking at the lovely swimming pool below.

The thing that intrigued me was the long shadow of the gecko.

Just another closer shot below.

Something different, as a female Cape sparrow sat sunning herself on the security spikes above a wall of our roof.

Look! A cloud caught the moon.

But the moon is a survivor, and it escaped :)

So yeah, the garden was the place to be in order to see some action, and even when we have transport to go out, at times I just want to sit in the garden. The squirrels come in at 17:00 hrs, every day to feed on the avocados and peanuts that my wife lays out for them, and they act like they own the place. Occasionally some other birds like the small cape white-eyes and lately even an olive thrush sneak in to grab a piece of avocado when the squirrels run off to bury the nuts. I will show you the olive thrush in another post soon, as I have already shown you the cape white-eyes.
It's a compact little garden that we have, not as big as what we had at the other houses where we stayed, but size doesn't matter, as there is always something to get on camera.
Such is life.

I hope you enjoyed the pictures and the story.
