Some misty morning photos.

I took some shots of the misty mountain landscapes and I hope that you will enjoy this short selection.
133.jpg

A short selection, as our power cuts have now been increased to 4 hour periods, and so I don't have much time to do longer posts.

Just the idea to get out into nature in order to shake off one's troubles is oftentimes so rewarding.
My camera will show you the relief and the beauty that stills my soul when I am out there. There's a song that goes; Pack all your troubles in an old kit bag and smile, smile, smile. I think it's an old war song and that's exactly what I am doing when I go out there with my camera. But not to fight, as I stick to the smiling part.
So come and join me on my walk.

Yep! Things were a bit on the misty side.
144.JPG

Did I tell you that it was misty out there?
148.JPG

That valley at the left caught my attention and I focused on it.
152.JPG

Here is a closer shot of the valley wearing a misty coat.
153.JPG

But like always, as time marched on, things became a bit lighter.
134.JPG

And finally the mountain was capped with a cloudy hat.
161.JPG

Exhilarating isn't it? Walking around and breathing the fresh and slightly wet mountain air. Nothing can be better than spending time out there and it is really a healing balm to one's mind, emotions and soul. Mother nature tells me that all things are how they are supposed to be and it has always been like such. Just like nature endures the wildfires and recuperates, so we have to endure our troubles, as they will not last and afterwards, we will be smiling again.

We all have the smiling sun inside of us and yes, at times some storms will assail our emotions, but just like the storms in nature blow over, so the storms in us will also never last. I was reminded of this when I waited for the light to come during this photo shoot.
Just my own simple way of looking at things and it has always worked out to be the best way for me in this life.

I hope that you have enjoyed the pictures and the story.

And That's All Friends.

The misty weather reflects a symphony of silence, a world without words, where the only sound is the whisper of leaves 😍📸

I love those sights Lady Joan and just cannot get enough of them.
Yes, a smile can cure many sorrows.
We are switched off from 8pm to 12pm just now.

When the lights go out people are relying on gas, last night during our blackout time, a fire swept through the Informal Settlement of Dakota Beach Isipingo leaving many homeless again!

Gift of the Givers arrived last night, our community and churches are arranging today whatever they are able to collect and deliver.

Last year this time flood ravaged them, this year fire!

This is the new South Africa we have to vote them out in 2024!

!LUV try to smile and hide the sorrow to endure another tomorrow.
!WINEX It's medicinal too....

Oh yeah and we do the same with a gas cooker. Problems in the townships are manifold and a main one is that they build the shacks right next to each other. Candles and paraffin stoves also do not improve matters and if one shack catches fire it results in one very big mess.
But also, to blame is the fact that there is no township planning, and everyone just do their own thing.

Glad that Gift of the Givers is active there and that there is also community support.

The news never seems to get better lately, and we live in a country of denials.

What shocks me is these confined green areas being invaded, how on earth could any government open the doors not having housing for their own?

Brag about 70 houses being built yet require 70k if not more, city planning is null and void! Tribal leaders no longer lead their people all deny yet very quick to implement new laws.

Troubles wherever one looks nowadays and the root cause is power in the wrong hands. Service delivery in many areas are non-existent and big fortunes spent on international travel and such like.
Slowly sliding into an abyss.

Shacks burned out on Isipingo side, late afternoon same day land grabbing at Illovo River area, both need housing yet municipality/provincial ANC will debate issues for years to come. Would be excellent they take away income from all tribal leaders, instill proper town planning development to get things done!

So sad that people are forced to take things into their own hands. Tribal leaders will fight for their riches and a story is doing the rounds that the king of a neighboring country is claiming almost the entire Free State Province.

Except in the cities the split of tribes is more evident, people will only settle as a nation once all these smaller entities are dissolved. Tax payers still pay for these tribal rulers which is ridiculous!

Too many kings and captains on the ship, but I understand and respect their traditions. Like our 11 languages, it is very difficult to get all to sing the same tune of putting the peo0ple first.
Tax payers will always lose out.

My respect only goes as far as their respecting the people. If they don't deserve the respect within community, they should not hold down the position.

The trouble is that that the communities should become more involved. To stop harboring the criminals and to become active in the political affairs. Politicians should no longer be allowed to get away with empty promises.

Municipalities should be elected by community, people they know and can hold accountable not ruling party decisions. Politicians are working way beyond the limited 65 years everyone else has to abide by, position of power should be strictly on merit, where are the young members 40 - 65?

You have exactly spelled out some of the major problems here, but we all know about the "it's time to eat" slogan. As long as there are free gains from the money pots, the problem will remain.

Most definitely not what my family or many others worked hard toward, the ANC is a total abortion, hopefully the right people will rectify when power changes hands.

All we have is hope Lady Joan, as lately everyone is serving the false god named Mammon.

The mountain's unbelievably massive and looks mystical with all the mist and clouds hovering over it. Great shots! Reminds me of the recent trips to a mountainous Province here in PH.
