Some beauty and a laugh.

Oh yes, the birds can be beautiful, but the birds can also be very funny.
Look at the beauty of this swallow posing for me.
426.jpg

And after the three pictures of the swallow model, I will show you a funny occurrence.

A bit of creativity here, as life can really stress one out and a laugh is always very good medicine. On Sunday night we went to a local restaurant to watch our Springboks play a rugby match in the World Cup against France. It was an electrifying match, as both teams were evenly matched, and the Boks won the match with one point. The result caused this town to come alive as our people went crazy after the win, and it was strange to hear and see so much happiness in the streets late at night, as usually everyone is asleep at this time.
But come and have a look at what I have to share.

This is a White-throated Swallow of the species, (Hirundo albigularis).
380.JPG

It is an intra-African migrant that lives near water, and they make their nests under bridges.
426.JPG

Now for the laugh.

A Pied Crow landed near a male Egyptian goose and I knew that something was going to happen, as the geese are not very fond of crows.
024.JPG

The goose looked at me, then he looked at the crow and the goose said. "Excuse me Mr. Crow, I was here first and could you kindly go away.
You can see that the goose had a good upbringing, as he was very polite :)
026.JPG

But of course the crow didn't listen and the goose shouted; What kind of the leaving part don't you understand?
031.JPG

Nope, this was a stubborn crow and then the stuff hit the fan.
034.JPG

BUGGER OFF! The angry goose stormed towards the crow and the crow got such a fright that he flew right out of the picture :)
037.JPG

Only then did I realize that it was a young crow, as he ran (flew) to complain about the goose to his mother that was sitting in the shade of a tree.
067.JPG

Of course, his mother didn't listen to him and that's why crows are so rude. Their parents leave them to learn their own lessons. Now I wonder how many of us have had the same experience in life. Dare I say that some of us are geese and others are crows in the manner that we go through life?
Our work at Papillon is not for the faint hearted, as even as we give, we have the grabbers and the rude. It takes nothing from making a person feel good, but rudeness can leave a lifelong imprint on the soul. Thinking less of another person for whatever reason is never an excuse to be rude to them. Understanding is the best thing in the world, and I hope that I have brought a smile to your face today.

I hope that you have enjoyed the pictures.

Swallows are beautifully streamlined for flight shimmering in the full sunlight. Oh that poor crow really got a scolding the goose does not like to share especially if it's eating, no so?

Indeed, and really lovely to watch in fight. I am trying to get one dipping its beak in the water for a drink, but it's very difficult as they skim so fast over the surface of the dam.

It is said that crows are the most intelligent of the bird species, but this crow is dumb, as nothing comes near a goose when it's eating !LOLZ

Very seldom able to capture swallows in flight skimming water, give the baby crow a year he will master the art of knowledge quicker than people do. !LOLZ

That's why it is such a good challenge for me to get one in action. Hahaha, I had to laugh when I saw that the crow was still a juvenile. You are right of course. !LOLZ

Always find something humorous in nature. Cheeky back in full flight once again, the chase is on!

!LUV have a wonderful day.

Oh yes, nature is our happy place. Great that cheeky is back and doing his thing again protecting his wives and his territory. If you place a mirror close by, you will see how he attacks his image in the mirror. !LOLZ and have a peaceful Sunday.

The angry goose stormed towards the crow and the crow got such a fright that he flew right out of the picture :)

Sometimes I feel that I also flew out of the picture, without even knowing it. Maybe even it would be good. Living off-grid, far from anyone and anything.

Dare I say that some of us are geese and others are crows in the manner that we go through life?

Life brings various situations. Probably people often have to choose between the two.

Some of us also have that feeling to step away from it all, but it's not that easy, as life has the habit to keep us in chains.

Many varieties of the two situations exist, as all of us have different views and also different choices. So, it can never be a situation of what is good for the goose, is also good for the gander.

Oh, that's a lovely sequence with the crow and the goose; love it! Crows can be such cheeky creatures, we get quite a large and noisy flock around here, and they try to steal all sorts of loose objects that are not tied down. The only "competition" they seem to back down from are the seagulls.

Thank you and I don't blame the crows, as seagulls are the real scavengers. I don't suppose that you have any Egyptian geese over there, as the males are big fighters, and they will even have a go at humans.
We used to feed a wild pair of the geese in our garden at a previous place and they got used to us. But every time that the female had babies and I came near them, the male goose would attack me !LOLZ

No Egyptian geese, but we do get our share of Canada geese. They hang out in a lot of the parks where we walk, especially if there are ponds and lakes... and they can be very aggressive if you get too close! And they are BIG, up to 6kg with a 2m wingspan!

Oh yes, Canadian geese are not to be trifled with and I think that it's the same with all geese species across the world. The Egyptian geese are also good flyers and I have at times posted some of the fights that they have with other Egyptian geese and crows in the air.
Your geese are much bigger, and we have some of them over here in the Cape province.

Isn't it amazing how you are able to make this interesting story out of this picture? I enjoyed reading every bit of it. But wait a minute! Where you really hearing their conversation? Just curious though because the story and the actions in pictures can not be separated. And yes, most of us are like geese always wanting to be everything for ourselves.

To me it's only natural to write a human script for the wildlife in funny situations like this. When one gives human voices to animals, it is called "Anthropomorphism".
So, I write the situations the way that I see them happening !LOL

Thank you milady, and I am glad that you enjoyed it. That swallow was determined to get her photos to be seen worldwide and I told her agent Mr. Owl, that I will try my best to expose her beauty 😀

I hope those who were rude one day realize that they are perhaps harming themselves more than their target. May all of the crows find their way in this world 🙏

Aways good to see you my friend.
So many do not understand the; "Do unto others...." law and when it comes back to them, then they complain and play victims. I am sure that all the crows can take better care of themselves than humans do !LOL

If the crows had hands, they would build space boats and pack them with humans to send them far away from this planet with no options of a return. A one way ticket to ride :)

I couldn't agree more on the importance of kindness and understanding. It's something that can make a world of difference in someone's day, and it's a lesson we can all take to heart.

Just like that, the birds are very beautiful as we see in these pictures and they joke a lot with each other and it is sad when they are hunted.

Thank you, glad that you liked the pictures and the joke of the birds. It is indeed sad when they are hunted, but thankfully there are many farmers here that protect the birds !LOL
