So this is Christmas.

022.jpg

We want to share our sincerest Christmas wishes with all of you. May you have a happy and blessed day of love and laughter.

So many have waited patiently for this day and now families are gathered all over the world. Exchanging presents, singing carols, feasting at the tables laden with food and desserts amid song and dance. Children very happy with their presents and the day is filled with love.
That is the corporate's idea of Christmas, and the gift shops are laughing all the way to the bank.

This is a farming town and they do their thing in their own way. We took little Buddy for a walk and heard a loud bell ringing far down in the road. It seemed to be coming our way and my camera went with for the walk.

008.JPG

Hey Zac, little Buddy said, what kind of dog is that? So, I said to Buddy that I will explain it to him later, as I was busy taking photos.
001.JPG

010.JPG

Seems that there were some youngsters at the back, handing out gifts to children. Good hearted people these.
016.JPG

Santa Claus and a red iron reindeer pulling his sleigh has finally arrived.
017.JPG

Dashing through the town, in a red horse open wagon. If I may alter the lyrics of the song Jingle Bells a little bit to suit this situation :)
023.JPG

It would have been better for the red horse to be a John Deere tractor, instead of a CASE, but I can't have everything my own way.
024.JPG

Goodbye Santa, and please take care that you don't get stuck in a chimney somewhere.
025.JPG

So that's it. The Christmas farce is about done and then we all continue with life. Not one thought of the real reason for Christmas and that a Child was born for all of us on this day. But to each his own and everyone needs to respect this.
Januworry is around the corner and so many will discover that they have overspent their Christmas budget by miles. But the quick and easy loan sharks know this, and they are always very happy to help. Some people end up with payments for the loans until winter comes. At more than double profits for the kind lenders of course.
What beats me is that every December they repeat the same mistake of overspending.
Such is life and love to all.

I hope that you enjoyed the pictures.

Established community can get quite a lot done, this started after the up-rising and has carried on.

Oh yes, the issue is always to continue with the work, as we so often found that when the real work starts, then the helping hands start to diminish. But that never stops us from just continuing. Another amazing thing as that when the task is completed and the plaudits start, the disappeared hands reappear, and they insist on being mentioned in the final impact status.
A funny world that we live in and I am sure that you guys have also encountered a few talkers. We call them empty lips !LOLZ

Always have a few arrive to do little, say a lot and get selfies of them doing 'good works'.

True assistance unless used to express some progress or requests through advertising, is normally done quietly simply getting tasks done, remain anonymous.

Reward is via happy faces of those receiving, no more required. !LUV

Oh yes, we used to allow selfies in the early days at Papillon. But it became abused, and I put a stop to it. We also didn't entertain those that made a tiny donation and then demanded a thank you in our newspaper articles, or in the TV interviews. Even the big ones were not mentioned, as the focus was exclusively on the projects and the impact.

Now after so many years we are known and there is no more any reason for exposure, or to plead in the media for donations. If people want to know anything, they can simply visit our website.
I have to say that to this day we face many struggles, and it's getting worse lately, but with the little bit that we have, we simply continue.

Yes, a monetary award can never compare to the reward of a happy child's tears.

Blessings and !LUV

Neighbourhood appeared to get up and do for the community this year without any song and dance. Since covid mis-management, lockdowns, uprising, the people have decided not to rely on municipality or government, appears to be a case of do it or nothing gets done.

I still cannot believe all that is going on these days. Broken streets, mismanagement all over the country, everything falling apart and yet the leaders and the officials earn millions.
Something has to finally give, and when it finally does, this land is going to burn.
Just a feeling that I have.

!WINEX for peace and efficiency.

Everything still to tribal, simply not enough refer to themselves as South African. Tend to agree this place will burn before it stabilizes, when there are no more farmers, coffers run dry, start all over again for the sake of stupid!

Oh yeah, tribalism is a big factor, and inhouse battles for power continuous to mar the situations. History teaches that a complete breakdown has to happen, before a rebuild can start. It requires strong, ethical and focused leaders, but at present we have none in the cupboard.

This is the benefit of such events, when a person comes out of the house and sees the decoration, then the life of a person is going on in trouble, and for some time he relaxes a lot.
