Our first sunset of 2026.

I could only post a taste of it, as we are still struggling with my PC.

So, come and have a look at the beauty of the colors here.

It was a weird late afternoon as I got some great photos of the clouds before the sunset, and I will do a comprehensive post about the start, to show you more beauty in the sky. I normally compare the early morning advancing clouds with the afternoon and the evening, and today on this Friday we once again have a very hot day, but thankfully a light cool breeze is blowing, bringing some relief. The shots in here were taken on New Years Day 01/01/2026.

I have also had an encounter with the V-shapes of the Sacred Ibis birds, as they were building up for a long flight over the mountains. Their numbers were increasing as they came along, and I remember last year that I got 24 in the two lines. This year I got from 13 in one line to 27. Incidentally, number 27 joined the V-formation later at sunset. So, keep a lookout for that post, that will be coming soon.

I took this shot first, to show you what the people in the high buildings saw at the shorefront of the sea.

Boom! Now see what it looked like from a distance.

A wider look at the beauty, and I love how the wind stirred up the streams in the blue area. A perfect combination with the colors below on the shore.

And here a later look as the setting sun reached the mountain.

And finally, here below was a view of the sun behind the mountain, flashing up the colors in the sky.

As I said, I have taken many shots, but it will have to wait for another time, as I battled with the interference on my PC, even during the creation of this post. Things just suddenly fade. Be kind and savor special moments, end the day with beauty, you have an inner glow, show it to all others and keep your inner true colors burning bright. Just some sage advice the sunsets teach us.
Nature holds many messages for us, and as in life at times nature can turn very ugly with its typhoons, earthquakes, and all such like, but as in life nature can also display so much beauty. I think here about the struggles in all our lives, and may this year be filled with beauty.
Such is life.
