Not the moon, as this is the sun.
The rain clouds were consistent during the day, and I had a chance to get some sun shots.
Yay, I normally get birds and planes on the moon, but birds on the sun shots have become scarce.
So, I was glad to get this, as the dark clouds dampened the sun's glare, and in this case, there was no bright light which could damage my camera. Not that I was focussed on getting birds on the sun, as I just went out as normal to watch the sky and the clouds. Not a drop of rain fell yet, even though we had yet another cold front coming in, and I was fortunate to get some action in the sky. The weatherman reckoned that we would have 4 consecutive days of rain, and hopefully I will get some more great shots.
I waited for the third bird to also come across the sun. Now please don't ask me what kind of birds they were, as I don't know, but what I know is that the birds are not chickens, as chickens can't fly that high :)
Just to give you some context about what the day was like.
And now for something else.
I saw a plane approaching from the south, and it was headed towards the north.
Come on, come on, the thought drifted through my mind that it was headed towards the sun,
But here below I knew that I would not get it on the sun.
And I was right, as it passed under the sun. Would have made a great shot if it crossed the sun's face.
I was a bit sad about the plane on the sun, but ended up happy, as nature gave me a consolation view below.
I regard myself to be a picture journalist, and the main thing is like at times to have fun in my blog here on Hive. Yes, I do promote nature, and also some farms, and other things to show you the beauty of our country. I also know that the hive members are worldwide, and that thousands of tourists visit our country. Now if it can become millions of tourists, then it would be so much better, as our country needs the income to build our economy. Not only that, but then we could also have more funding for our government to uplift the poor, as we have a big un-employment problem. So, we need the investments, as it will also result in new businesses opening, and that means more employment. So, we have to do what we can, and I find Hive to be a great vehicle for promotions.
Just my way of looking at things.
I hope you enjoyed the pictures and the story.

I've never been able to experience the flight of ducks or geese in person like this. It must be beautiful to see them!
That plane looked like one of those used by aeromodelers, haha.
Oh yes, it is really great to see the bird flying in a "V" formation. I hope that you will also get to them one day.
If the plane was a model, I would have steered it to cross the sun. !LOL

That would have been a really cool shot if the plane had passed across the face of the sun like the birds. But you waited, which means you tried. I usually like to just sit quietly in the open air in such cloudy weather. The photo with the tree and the sky looks beautiful! :)
I don't mind waiting as I was born with much patience. Same as me, as I am also an outside person, and nature is one of my passions. Glad that you liked the tree shot.
