Here we go with a magnificent sunset again.

Oh yes, I have been watching the cloud build-up on the horizon every day.

And as soon as I see the cloud lines that seem to be ideal, then we jump into the car to travel to a high spot.

This was our reward for a great deed that I will tell you about at the end of the post. We had a fairly warm day with no heavy winds and fortunately the air was good for photography. What you see here is the rear side of the famous Table Mountain in the Cape of South Africa. The sun got trapped behind a line of clouds and it cried golden rays below the cloud. You can see how the rays lit up the crevices and ridges of the mountain.

Table Mountain (Khoekhoe: Huriǂoaxa, lit. 'sea-emerging'; Afrikaans: Tafelberg) is a flat-topped mountain forming a prominent landmark overlooking the city of Cape Town in South Africa. It is a significant tourist attraction, with many visitors either using the cableway or hiking to the top. The mountain has 2,285 plant species, of which around 80% are fynbos (Afrikaans for 'fine bush'). Table Mountain National Park is the most visited national park in South Africa, attracting 4.2 million people every year for various activities. It forms part of the lands formerly inhabited by Khoe-speaking clans, such as the !Uriǁʼaes (the "High Clan").

And finally, as the sun dropped closer the mountain, the rays started to disappear and soon afterwards the dark started to set in.

As usual, on our way back home, I took some shots of the sunset behind the trees and they came out well.

How do you help a person start a new life? I said in the opening that the sunset was our reward for a great deed. A young lady had no front teeth and nobody would employ her, so we decided to help her as she also has young children to feed, and they all lived in one room in the township. We sent her for the fitting of new dentures and paid a deposit for the dentures to be made. After a couple of days, she approached us with the biggest, most beautiful smile, flashing the new front teeth and now we are sure that she stands a great chance to find employment. First impressions count and with no front teeth she stood no chance of getting employment. She now loves Papillon and all it took from us was some money and a mouthful of kindness.
Such is life.
