Fun in the late sun.

One thing that I do have is a lot of patience. Some regard me as a statue when I stand and wait with my camera focused on something. For example, waiting for a baby bird to come out of a nest for its first time, or some other eventuality.
Here below I was waiting for a bird to fly across the white spot in the sunset clouds.

See the white spot in the blue sky, off center of the picture to the right. That was my target to hopefully get a nice background of a bird in flight.

One thing that I have learned about photography is to wait and let me tell you that it works for me at least. But then again at other times, very similar to life, one has to take a quick snapshot, such as the sacred Ibis bird in the 4th picture.
Alertness in nature pays off most times, and the misses are also natural, as again with opportunities in life.
Being at the right place at the right time is governed by fortitude and I have had many experiences of this truth.

Zap! One chance and if one misses it, then it's a wait again, but the sky was darkening, so only this one chance to get a bird flying across that white spot.

I knew that it was going to be a nice sunset due to the ample clouds a bit earlier.

This below was the quick snapshot of the Ibis that I mentioned in the introduction above. I think that the photo didn't come out too bad.

A strong wind plied its trade by combing the palm tree's hair and later the wind also chased the clouds around like a real bully on a sports field.

Have a look in the images below how the wind danced with the clouds.

I am fond of looking for life in the sky during sunset, and also other views, as if one takes just a normal sunset then it's just the same old, same old. Just the other day right after sunset I missed a great chance to get a long line of birds coming over, but I was talking to a neighbor, and it would have been rude to suddenly start taking photos during a conversation. But that is how life works at times and I know that sooner or later in similar weather and at the same time, that line of birds will come over again.

Whilst writing this, an old saying crossed my mind and it goes like this.

Think as if your thoughts are blazed across the sky for all to see, for in fact so it is.
I think that it was by Lao Tzu.

I hope you have enjoyed the pictures and the story.

Wow! You aren't inpatient as you have said. You were able to capture the beautiful moment of the bird. It is amazing how you were able to pay attention for that long. Not seeing looking up to the sky.
