Early morning pictures.

I have a mix of photos in here, and I will open with a silhouette of a Harrier Hawk.

The light was not ideal for photography in the sky, but I decided to give it a go.

Too early to get clear shots of the birds, and after I downloaded the photos onto the PC, I thought that the silhouettes looked great. Clouds and trees, at times, also obscured the action in the sky, but I managed to get three shots of the Harrier Hawks. I say hawks, as two others also appeared. Then I have some shots of a female sunbird, and finally an athletic gecko. The photos were all taken in a half an hour before we left for work.

We have so many issues here, that it will make your head spin, not only with the massive increases of everything due to the wars, and we know that it is affecting everyone in the world. Back home here, we get daily appeals from people in desperate situations. Life has become very difficult for everyone, but especially for those who eke out a living on almost nothing, as they are either unemployed or earn a very minimal government grant.
But I digress and come and look what I have today.

That looked like a dragon bird in the cloud with the sun behind it. The sun revealed the dragon hiding in the cloud.

Another pair arrived, and in the photo below this one I could see that they are also harrier hawks.

Enough about the sky and let us rather see what I could get in the garden.

A little female sunbird sat at on the cover at the bottom of our front pedestrian gate. She gave the leaf a look.

Searching for bugs hidden in the leaf.

Nothing found around the drain, and after this shot she was gone.

Remember that I said, in the first paragraph of the post, that we saw an athletic gecko. Look at this below.

The gecko sat on an electrical box cover on a pillar in the garden.

And finally, the sun winks at you through this palm tree.

We are like children at the beginning of each day, where we look forward to what we will see, and we are hardly ever not rewarded with some new views, be it in the sky, the mountains, or the sea. We are also blessed with dwarf chameleons and dwarf geckos. Obviously, the dwarf means that they are much smaller than the regular reptile size. We also saw that at one of the farms in our area a dwarf Nguni calf was born. This is rare, as it only happened once or twice before, and so if I get some time, we will go to search for that little calf.
Such is life.
