Driving around looking for an empty house.

We took a drive through the town's suburbs in our search for a small house with a view of the ocean, or the mountains.

Some lovely wildlife was found in or next to the roads on our trip.

This is an old farm town that was built on what was once a big farm and the wildlife has adopted the farm as their own. A friend told us about a duck pond and we included the pond in our drive. Surprisingly, the ducks were not in the pond, but resting right next to the roadside. But of course, that's not all that we saw and I invite all of you to come on the drive with us.
Let's go.

A lovely horse was prancing around in a camp next to the road. I think that black fringe was to protect its eyes against the sun.

You can see that this horse is very well cared for.

Ever hear the saying to; "get your ducks in a row"?
These are not local ducks, as they are Muscovy Ducks and you can read more about them HERE

Ah! An ocean view, lots of nature and what a sight.

Some of the Muscovy ducks found something to eat in the road.

And here in the next photos we had a bit of a crisis situation.

A large group of pedestrians were crossing the road.
233.JPG

So, slowly I cruised closer to see what they were. Ah! Cape Spurfowls.
They are also called the Cape Francolin and they are endemic to South Africa. You can also read more about them Here

Suddenly the one little group started to scatter, and I knew that it was not us that scared them. So what was it?
273.JPG

A cat was prowling up on them.
271.JPG

Briskly the birds moved off and my wife jumped out of the car to chase the cat.
275.JPG

Not a happy fellow as back in his yard, he gave her a look.

This brave mom even came to take a peep if the cat was gone.

Nope, we could not see any small homes in this area and besides that, we were so engaged in the wildlife sightings that there might have been small homes and we did not see them. But I don't think so, as it is a very well off area. We will not stop our search, as maybe there is someone that converted a double garage into a cottage, or even built a flat on top of their double garage.

Or then again, we might move to a different town that is also close to the sea and surrounded by mountains. It's all up in the air at the moment and in the meantime due mainly to the power cuts, our economy is not doing well. Our own finances are also very limited, and we simply cannot afford the high rental fees in the areas with the views. But somehow, somewhere there is always a plan and patience is on our side.
So, for now we will just keep on looking.

I hope that you have enjoyed the ride and the sights.

And That's All Friends.

The birds are cuter than any house, no matter the view, could ever be. Beautiful 😍

The cat! The cat was the highlight of this post. Maybe it's because I'm affraid of birds 😅 any type of bird 😂. I'm always affraid that I'll anger them in some way and get picked at 😟

Glad that you liked the cat and there is really no need to be scared of birds. Unless it is an angry male goose that is protecting their babies. Maybe you should try to kiss a bird, as they like it 😊 !LOL

I use to like birds, we even had a pet one! But sometime during highschool it switched 🤔. I still can't figure out what it was.

But it's true, one can only face a fear, if you face it 🐦😆

The latter part of your reply is the truth else the fear will continue to haunt you!

First off Zac I am sure you will find something suitable with a cracking view, perhaps in another town.

Much as I like cats, I do shoo them away from birds too 🤣
I just !LUV seeing creatures cross the road in single file!

Cracking pictures and a fun story as always to match.

I popped this into threads to see if we can get some more silver bloggers engagement going in the community, as we are collaborating with LeoFinance on short form content in threads.

Here is to a great new week and hoping you find that house!

Thank you for popping this into threads Ed and I first have to get my issues sorted out before I can join.

The problem is that it is much hotter inland and the coolest places are near the coast. But we will just keep on searching.

Glad that you see things my way with cats as we have not only birds, but also dwarf chameleons here that the cats eat.
Hahaha, that's how mankind learned to walk in single file 😉 !LOL

Thank you for the wishes and hope that you will have a good week.

My pleasure Zac, it reminds me of the South of Spain when we lived there. The closer you got to the coast the more expensive it becomes, so I know what it is like.

Keeping my fingers crossed you get something soon.

Not a problem about the threads, first things first!

Have a good one.
