Cloudy subterfuge.
Now what was this cloud hiding? Just an ordinary cloud that hides a treasure.

Before you scroll down, let me know what it was that this cloud was hiding?
All of the shots in here were taken by me within the space of one hour, and I really enjoyed the views. Especially as later on everything darkened suddenly due to the winds chasing storm clouds in. I am starting to get used to it, and that's why I try to get many shots during the times when things are clear. The saying is, strike while the iron is hot, and I do like such every time.
In yesterday's post I showed you how powerful the storms are in a video, and it is indeed mind-blowing. But in the meantime, there are also always such mercies around like this morning, and for a time one can find some relief before the struggle continues. My relief comes from the views that you can see below, as it makes me to think, or remember the nice hot summer days.
Come and see.
This shot below is a teaser, or maybe it just gives the game away.
Yeah! The cloud was hiding the moon.
And it looked so great when the wind started to open the cloud.
There it was, as at last a clear shot.
It looked like some kind of sea monster that was taking a bite of the moon.
And then, some extraordinary white cloud shots below.
Like I said above, these periods are short lived, and one just has to make the best of it. I have a heap of shots that I took during the cloud breaks and will show some of them to you in the future. After light comes the dark, and after the dark the light emerges again. This is just the way of nature and of our lives on this planet. Almost like a dual between the light and the dark, but each event serves its own purpose.
What I found with my photography efforts, is that one has to include alternative images in tandem with the cloud shots as it adds a lot of character to the photos. Layered clouds are beautiful, but if an image of some palm trees is added to it, then it looks just so much better. Not only palm trees, as that would become boring, but a variety sounds so much better.
Nature always offers some escape for one's stresses, and at this time now we have barrel loads of stresses due to the destructive storms. People that lost their houses need food and clothing, and a temporary place to stay. I said somewhere else in another post that Papillon has launched a call for used clothing, and we have to do what we can. Yes, it's only a drop in the bucket, but many drops can create an ocean.
Such is life.
I hope you enjoyed the pictures and the story.

Until next time, cheers for now!
I'm glad you finally found a break between those storms when you had some blue sky and cloud formations worth of photography! Those are some great shots of the moon once the clouds moved out the way. I bet it felt great to have that calm in the storms for bit, it's just a shame they have been so severe this year. And so constant!
I do like the contrast in the last shot where you show the beautiful green landscape and trees with the clouds. Nature really is a beautiful thing when you take time to enjoy it. It's sad that so many people don't take time to enjoy the beauty all around them, especially when life is so short.
I guess as I age I'm appreciating the little things a lot more than I did when I was younger. Maybe I was more goal driven in my younger years and didn't take enough time to smell the roses. I sure do my best now to make up for it!
I hope you can collect plenty of clothing donations for those in need. With the cold weather and flooding there are bound to be many who've had all of their possessions destroyed in the flooding. Not having warm clothes in the cold and wet environment is dangerous.
