At the start of a beautiful day.
A fairly emotional post, as that is what the views do to my heart.

At first as we turned the corner from our house, this view above told me that it was going to be a cloudy day. But I was a bit tired of the same old, same old, and we searched for another spot from where I could get some quality views on my camera. The nice thing about some of our Sundays, is that we can go out with a picnic basket, and we can spend the day at leisure preferably in nature. Far away from people and on our own, as we call it our day of remembrances. I don't know about you, but at my age I have seen so much in the past and the mind is a strange thing, as it remembers only the good times. But then again, there are also so many bad times to think about and to discuss.
So, come and enjoy the views.
I waited for the sun to creep over onto that big hill at the right of the picture above. And below you can see by the sunlight on the hill that there are rows and rows of neatly planted olive trees on that hill. We have some great olive oil producers in our country, and they have won many prizes in the international markets. But I digress, and let's rather look at the landscapes below.
So, now let me show you what it looked like near the end of the day.
This above was at the left-hand side landing of the clouds, at a spot behind the hills.
And, this below was at the center of the cloud stream.
And finally, this below was the start of that stream.
As you saw in the last three photos, it was getting late and sadly our time was up. It is always refreshing to have a day like this, as one can feel like you have cleansed your soul from the toxins of the world. I love to get people to smile, and in-between our discussions I would say something silly just to see my wife's smile. Life is what you make of it, and nobody is perfect, even though some think that they are. I have sad news for them, as perfection means absolutely no mistakes, and so clarity will emerge when this is realised.
We are all frail human beings, and even a simple cold can kill us, and that is why we have to appreciate every second of life. I was taught in the army to count seconds by saying: "One Mississippi, two Mississippi, three Mississippi...". And now, I can only count the seconds in: "One Missi, two Missi, three Missi...etc." What happened to the rest? I mean, the "...ssippi" part, did somebody steal it? Or is time racing on its new racing bike? That would make sense, as time had an old postal bicycle in days gone by. Now it has something more streamlined. Only joking a bit, but the "missi..." part is true. Lol.
Such is life.
I hope you enjoyed the pictures and the story.

Ah those sweeping landscapes are such a treat! I’m days of old post bicycles, I would get to enjoy them as there was no blockchain!
I love to see it and think that way up here, we are enjoying the same sky despite our distance apart.
The pursuit of perfection can be great as anything short of perfection is pretty damn good. But to be dissatisfied with the imperfect is surely the key to an unhappy life. It is a miracle we were even born and the universe has been trying unsuccessfully to kill us ever since.
So, all of these imperfections are an unlikely gift we should celebrate every day.
I had one of those old post bikes and travelled on it to school every day, but their time is sadly over due to internet.
It is written that to be grateful in all situations, both bad and good, as there is no flesh that is perfect, and maybe that's why the universe does not like us very much.
And so, I agree with you :)
