Another view of sheer beauty!

Please sit down as I am sure that this will also calm your mind and your senses, as it did for me. There is also something special at the end of the post.

I am sure that I am not the only one that likes the challenges that bad light offers a photographer. Now don't get me wrong as I am not a photographer, but rather a simple guy with a camera that likes challenges.
Apart from the forced power cuts over here, which is a challenge on its own, we also have strong winds and clouds that change the looks in the skies in an instant.

A closer shot here of that cloud in the first picture, taking a rest on the mountain. You can see that the cloud was tired of being chased around by the winds.

Some serious changes in the light in the following pictures.

Things got very rough after a while and we had to leave.

Here below is a new first for me to get on camera.

Now I have shown you many of these sun halos before, but never a reflection of the halo in water.

Bang! I did it! I got the sun halo's reflection in water. The next thing now for me to try, is to get the halo's reflection when the light is a bit better, as the water could not pick up the colored rings clearly.

Having fun at all times with my camera, has become a habit as I love the outdoors and am very close to nature. It has so many surprises and new lessons that one can learn, and I think that it is a never-ending journey of a lifetime. As one gets to know one thing, then at some other stage that same one thing can convert itself into something new to learn. That is why the botanists and scientists are kept so busy.
If you think space and its planets are intricate, then I can tell you that nature is also just as intricate.
I hope that you have enjoyed this story and the pictures.

And That's All Friends.

Exactly what I also thought, as it does indeed look like the ocean flowing over the mountain.

Those are some epically gorgeous and creative shots for a not photographer 👍

Love the halos in the water. Especially the first one!

Hahaha, I said that as some insists to call me a professional photographer. I seriously dislike that as I hate titles !LOLZ

So glad to get the halo in the water as I have many of the first one, but nothing reflected and now I am searching for a way to get the reflection in clear water. Maybe a big swimming pool or some such 😉

:)

That could work. Or a dam.

I like the fact that it's ethereal though... it's atmospheric and I love the skies. It could be something from space...

You could animate that on canvas by the way. Some movement would make is really psychedelic!

The "breathe" animation might be pretty cool

Dam is a problem as the water has to be very clear, but I will try some things, including a few dams.
Got another one today, as we booked a tour to a wine processing and storage plant that is situated on a hill right close to the mountains. Views to die for.

No idea how to do animation and the only psychedelic experience that I have was during the 60s, as those were really psychedelic years !LOLZ

Again I have to shyly admit that you have lost me, as I didn't know that animations can breathe ?
You are obviously and expert in these things.

😆

Fair game.

Not even close! :) I wish I knew how to animate stuff in fact.

There's a "breathe" effect in canvas that you can apply to still pictures that is pretty cool.
