An African sunset on the mountains.

Our spring season has now arrived sooner than expected and that means that summer is waiting in the wings. I miss the bushveld far up north in the country, as the acacia thorn trees also appeared wild during the sunsets.

But luckily, down South now here in the Cape we also have some stunning sunsets.

Especially on the ocean, but I couldn't go down to the see as my leg cannot walk long distances on the beach sand yet. So, for now I can work with my camera on terra firma. The mountains, thankfully, also put up their own show during the sunsets, as you will see here in this post.
We are booked for only two dry days during next week, as the other days will all be filled with rain. But no problem, as I will still get out to take photos.
Come and have a look at the beauty.

So, come and drive with us to the mountains.

And here was the sun, in all its glory.

Finally the sun sank below the clouds on its way down.

And twilight has started with this beautiful show.

I took the sunshine scene yesterday, as I know that when there are clouds about, at times, one can get beautiful sunsets. It was a lovely clear morning, but I think the weatherman was right, because the clouds are gathering, and the rain will be upon us in the new week. The strange thing is that we are in a winter rainfall area, and now during the new spring we still get rain. This might even continue into summer. There are a few articles out explaining that El Nino effect will soon be upon us this summer, with its droughts, and the warnings are out for the farmers to prepare for it. Fortunately, all our dams are full and we will see how it goes.

I hope you have enjoyed the pictures and the story.

First electrical Spring storm last night, some welcoming rain at last, today a beautiful Sunday under excellent sunny conditions.

Each season offers a little different, except Summer I do not enjoy boiling through the hot months, so be it, something we face every year.

Clouds shrouding the mountains a majestic view, sunsets have been spectacular of late, enjoy your new week.

Electrical storms are so beautiful and glad that you guys have had at least a bit of rain. A cold and very windy Sunday here.

I agree with you about the heat and our fear is that the temps will now start to increase during summer.

Thank you and Africa really has some magnificent sunsets.

I hope that you guys will have a good new week.
