A wet morning...

...and I open the post with a Camellia flower wearing a rainwater crown.

Two parts in the post, as I also played a bit with the moon. The thing is that we expected no rain and yet for a few hours we had what we call fairy rain. Drops so small that one can barely feel them. Just a fine drizzle that wets everything very gently, and we were glad, especially after the damaging rainstorms and floods that we had to endure for the past days. I took some random shots during the day and thankfully the rain stopped.

A dense mist had us drive very slowly with the car's lights on and we encountered no incidents on the roads. It seems the people have learnt how to drive in the wet, and one always has to be aware of some people's love to ignore the red traffic lights. Red means stop and wait for the green, but we have many chancers that simply drive through the red lights. Then another irritant is also those with the "loud" cars, the ones that try to sound like a rocket and the noise scares even the rain away.

Just to show you what the view looked like early morning.

Later on, the sun was, as usual, in a battle to break through the clouds.

Ever so slowly the clouds started to brighten up.

Hooray! The sky started to clear at last.

In the second part of the post, I will show you some moon shots, as the sun seemed to light it up. The month of May has two full moons, and I missed the first one as the skies were covered in cloud, and so I will get a second chance to get the full moon on the 31st of May. I just hope that the clouds will read this post and give me a chance to get the full moon :)

This photo below is where I at first became aware of the moon as the cloud opened up.

But it wasn't going to be for long, and I only had a chance to get a few shots.

Finally, the cloud became jealous, and it closed the moon again, but by then I had enough shots.

I like to play in the sky as I am a being that belongs in the sky, at least it feels like that to me. Nary a day goes by that I do not have my eyes on the sky. Yes, I know that there are also abundant views for a photographer on the land, and I do try to combine the elements whenever I am out taking photos. Variety is the name of the game as it prevents one's offerings from becoming stale.

Nature, of course, has its own treasures for those of us that take a more concentrated look at things, and it holds a trove of surprises. One can learn nature's laws just via the medium of photography as everything in nature has a role in the eco-systems. Nothing goes to waste and the wetlands even filter the river water that flows into it. Just a pity that so many don't understand this as littering just continues to take place.
Such is life.

I hope you enjoyed the pictures and the story.

Until next time, cheers!

Sometimes, the sky is littered with clouds and we long for the sun to break through and warm us.

Other times, wide open blue and it is the things here on the surface that obscure the view.

I like to view the sky and the land as different parts of the same thing. The trees don’t seem to care if it is sunny or cloudy and I am just concentrating on staying in that place above the earth and below the cosmos.

Dramatical tree shots here, and yes, the trees can have a tendency to obscure the blue sky shots.
It sounds that you are an in-betweener, the same as all of us on this planet. Determined to keep our feet anchored to the ground. The mind and the feet are different parts of the same thing, and so the feet can stay on the ground, while the mind can fly in the sky :)
