A stunning cloudy day.

There was a storm coming and the warning messages were all over the sky for the animals to see.

So when you see little animals scurrying around in a hurry to get food, they know that rain is coming.

We used to have a family of squirrels at our old place and I watched their actions whenever rain was expected. They would rush around in a frenzy, burying nuts all over the place. Every now and then eating a nut in the process to fill their stomachs. They taught me the value of having a full stomach in order to endure the wet and the cold during winter.
Come and let me show you the warning signs of rain in the sky.

I popped up onto the roof of our new place with my camera to show you this.

That is a Swallow and I waited for it to get closer to the moon, but sadly it swung to the left in flight.

The sky never lies and the animals know how to read it. The rain has arrived as you can see below.

The stories that the skies can tell us are never ending as each page of the sky book has a different story in it. All that it wants is for us to learn how to read it, as it was given to us as a free gift. The farmers and others that depend on the weather are also experts in the reading of the skies and so are the animals, as it is essential for their survival.
The tiniest of birds know instinctively that it is dangerous to fly in strong winds and the crows know that playtime has arrived whenever the high storm winds arrive.
Just the way of life in the animal kingdom.

Stunning as always! It is amazing what one can learn from animals and the sky.

I am up north again and the weather is 30 plus degrees. I miss the cold afternoons of the Cape! Keep well my friend.

Yuck! Up north sucks and don't ever want to go up there again. They reckon that the heat wave up there will start to break tomorrow (Wednesday).

I see that they implemented stage two water restrictions or something now. And still people recklessly use water.

I hope that enough rain fell there in the Cape so that we do not sit with the same problem again as last time!

Yeah, up north sucks. But what would one not do to find love, right? But I am back in December for the summer Cape sun!

No, I’m only kidding, haha. Her name is Tristin and she is an awesome writer/poet and painter! I think she will do well on here, she just needs some motivation (which I am trying to give her) to share. Oh yes, and she is pianist! She plays wonderfully.

A bit hotter today, but still pleasant. We talk about the weather up there with Marian's parents as they live up there.

So Tristin sounds like an excellent match, but I will have to see her first before I can approve the relationship 🤣 !LOLZ

I hope that she will not convince you to live up there after the wedding :)

The heat is crazy and the rain just stays away. But all of the Jakaranda trees are in full bloom so thats a nice sight!

You can see how she looks in I think my most recent post, or at least a bit of her!

Nope, the idea is to stay in the Cape! I am starting my academic career (if all goes to plan, things can still change!) next year Feb in Stellenbosch.

Oh yeah, the Cape is the place to be. But in saying this, we are also slowly heating up and I saw that west coast towns like Vredendal and Clanwilliam are now entering the late 30C stages.
Those Jakaranda trees can certainly put up a great show every year. They are invasive trees and I think the thought once was to remove them. But I do not know the outcome of the idea.

Yeah I peeped and it's all hands and feet plus a lost ear. The hands look gentle, the feet are not malformed and the ear looks sound. Now I need to see the teeth and the nails.
Hahaha, only joking as I have been ragging you all along 🤣 !LOLZ

The last that I heard was that you were involved there already, and it will mean a lot to them and a bonus for you next year.

They can see that you are dedicated and intelligent like I am hahahah.
I better laugh else you will take me serious again.

Hopefully there will still be some late rain falling even though highly unlikely. It makes one feel so useless when you cannot do something about the issue!

Thanks! She does not have any malformations haha. I am not sure how she feels about completely revealing her face on here, maybe when she has her own profile!

I did a lot of extra work in some sense to be seen and it finally paid off. It shows that when you stick to your guns and put in some extra work you will be recognised. No worries, joking and laughing is the best medicine and keeps one younger! I can take things too seriously so I need to chill!

Oh man, every time that I see the banks of clouds coming over, my heart sinks as they are all white.
Not even a trace of grey and yes, no rain. But things are meant to be as they are and one only has to accept it.

I agree, not a good idea to reveal her face until her introduction post. I presume that you know that one has to hold a board up with HIVE written or pasted on it.

Always, but recognition comes naturally after effort if one just keeps on hammering away.

I hope that an odd rain comes by. But those are words of wisdom: life just is, accept it for what it is.

Oh, I will need to make a nice board! She is a painter so she can make a nice painting for her introduction post.

Again words of wisdom, one does not do it for the recognition but for the act of hammering away. That is what I was learnt from young age: enjoy the act and process not the end goal. Or as my dad always say: enjoy what you do and don’t just do what you enjoy.
