A new style...

...as the first five photos will serve as an index of the post.

First is an early misty morning, then a clearer afternoon, and finally an impending sunset. After the first 5 shots, I will share another 5 random shots. Each of the shots also serve as samples, as I can do at least ten posts with a range of photos of each photo that you see in here. What I am trying to say is that I can do for instance full misty posts, and full afternoon posts, and then full sunset posts.

This was also just before a new cold front arrived, and you can see the fabulous shapes of the clouds that were shaped by a 50-kilometer gale force wind. Not very pleasant to stand in the wind outside in nature, but it is always worth the bit of unease, as it is always rewarded by shots like these.
So come and feast your eyes on the skies.

Now for some random shots.

Things started to clear up in the shots below.

And then the sunset started to materialize.

This was on our way home.

And look what was waiting for us at home!

Like I said above I will share a full sunset post of the last picture, in fact I have taken so many shots, about 300 that I took on this day. Thankfully the card that I have in my camera can load 4000 shots. So whenever we go out on a far road trip, I have no hassles to take shots of everything that we see. Some of you have seen the posts of our road trips here on the blog, and it is always fun to share.

Maybe one day in the future, my 6 grandkids can also show their children all of the things that I share in here. All of course on behalf of Papillon and I am slowly reaching my target here on Hive. In the meantime, it really helps to enjoy the outings and the photography. Just a pity that our fuel for the car has become so expensive, as that prevents us from driving far out. Higher inland the mountain ranges are covered in snow, and we would so much like to go and see, but it is just too far at this stage. Who knows, maybe our luck will change, and it will become cheaper as then we will not hesitate to go and have a look.
Such is life.

I hope you enjoyed the pictures and the story.

Until next time, cheers!

Wow that is a lot of pictures in a single day but I would probably my snap that many if the scenery was like that!

With snow on the mountains there, you might be happy to know we have accepted the baton of summer up here. Hot as hell and just getting started!

Sorry for the late reply, but rather late than never Lol.

No, I haven't taken 4000 photos yet, as that is just what my memory card hold. I normally average about 150 to 200 per day :)
