A happy wife is a man's treasure.

Come and see what it is that makes my wife happy.
280.JPG

I don't know if my wife is happy with me, but I know how to keep her happy. Simply give her some wildlife to feed. Not only wildlife, as she even talks to crickets and other bugs. This morning, she rescued a little shield bug that was drowning in the bird's water bowl here at home. He happily climbed on to her finger, and she placed him carefully in the granadilla bush. This is just the kind of person that she is. And that's why I love her.

The simple things in life are what we both like, and we try our uttermost best to keep it that way. No rushing around head over heels, no TV, and nothing to upset us in our private life. But I have to say, that the work at Papillon is very stressful at times, but we would not want it any other way, as the best thing in life is to help others, especially the poor and needy. But that's just our way in life.

It was this gigantic table that caught my attention, and so we turned into a roadside farmstall, not expecting what we were going to see.

There were donkeys on the farmland next door, and my wife started fiddling in her backpack.

Ever so happily, she trotted over towards the donkeys.

Look! The teacher lined them up and started talking to them. She told them a little joke, and check the second donkey from the right, how he was laughing.

So, of course, he was the first one to get a carrot.

Just to show you the size of that table and chairs. A donkey fits comfortably under it.

This one looked very pregnant to me.

That was how we left them, and I love the colors in this shot below.

I will show you some more about the farmstall in another post, and they serve great food and coffee there. The farmstall was strategically placed midway of a national road, meaning that tired people have an ideal place to pop in for a quick rest and a coffee before they travel further on toward their destinations. I took a slow walk around the building, and the views are magnificent. Wide open spaces with mountains on the horizon, and I even got a Jackal Buzzard bird of prey circling up high in the blue sky.

We also felt refreshed as we still also had to travel a far distance to get back home, and my wife was so happy in the car that she sat humming some song that I don't know. I wonder how many happy people there are in life, as it has become very complicated. Just a look at the newsfeed in my browser is never a pleasure, as it is all about crime, corruption, violence, and such things. Enough to drive a person crazy, and then the media is also flooded with a myriad of problems in the world.
Such is life.

I hope you enjoyed the pictures and the story.

What a friendly herd of donkeys, you can tell they're used to a lot of human interaction and feeding. Very interesting design elements they added there as well, one donkey is taking advantage of the shade. It sounds like a great stop on a long drive, the owners have some entertainment and fresh coffee. What else could you want?

It's nice that you love your wife and you know what makes her happy. If your wife if happy life is much simpler as we all know! She sounds like a great lady!

Oh yes, we saw a dad showing his son how to feed one of the donkeys, and I waited for a chance to get at them. That table and chairs are very big, and one can see them from the road. It is an ideal drawcard for a thirsty throat :)
I will show some more of the place in another post soon.

I like to keep things basic and simple, and we are together 24/7 for the past 23 years, and so we are basically two in one. The locals call her an angel and yeah, she is a real blessing to have as a wife.
