A first for me to see this.

So, come with on a Friday ship cruise :)

No, I don't know what it is. We normally only see speed boats and fishing boats in the bay, but never before something like this. During summer, the bay is often crowded with boats and yachts, and also some fishing boats. I like to watch from a distance, especially during the summer holidays. The speed boats also race around, and it is wonderful to see how the waves lift them out of the water.
Come and see.

Something like this speed boat we normally see.

And how ideal will this be for a holiday?

Many holidayers park their boats in harbors, and some even take tourists around during the holiday periods. So, if you want to visit us here in the western cape province, be sure to check out the boat tours. I bet that you will be pleasantly surprised, as you might even see whales and dolphins.

Finally, the ship started to reach the southern end of the bay.

Now if you look up to the northern side of the bay, then you can see the fine sea mist littering the sky. Not great light conditions for photography.

There was shouting and clapping hands behind me, as we were at a restaurant at 8:30am to watch the Springboks playing the All Blacks in a rugby game, so I went back inside to watch the rest of the match. Needless to say, that the Springboks, for the past two years, are the world champions, and on this day they showed their class, by giving the All Blacks a serious hiding. But in saying this, I also like the All Blacks, as they are a very strong team and it is always a war when the Boks play the Kiwis.
Such is life.

I hope you enjoyed the pictures and the story.

Absolutely! 🤣 I do think there are some countries that don't allow people to take pictures of their military. North Korea comes to mind, but basically everything is forbidden there according to media, so...

This really stood out to me because it reminded me of my own love for being near the water. The mix of boats, mist and movement has such an energy that’s hard to find elsewhere. It feels like one of those sights that makes you pause and just appreciate where you are.

Thank you, and glad that you also love being near the water. It is a world of its own.
We are certainly blessed to be near the ocean.

I love watching boats at sea, even speedboats, because I think and imagine where they're going. It must be very interesting to be on one.

We are also fond of watching boats and ships at sea, as it is an ancient craft, converted into modern luxury fare. Been on a few in my life.
