A cloud band across the mountain range.

I promised to show you more about this cloud band occurrence, and here it is.

A few days ago, I posted the start of this cloud band that you can see HERE, and now you will see how the views changed later in the day. We popped down to a local park that we visit often, and I knew that I would get a better look at the mountains from this park. It was a short while before sunset, and the cool air kept the people away, so all was quiet and peaceful.

The road that we drive to get to this park ends in a T-junction right in front of this grass bank below, but it was the view above the grass bank that I was interested in.

A short right turn led us around the grass bank, and then the views started opening up.

Things slowly started to get darker and that band increased in size, as you can see in the photo below. Nevertheless, the late colors were just as beautiful, and one can only wonder at the ways of nature. Not one day is the same here, and each new day opens with its own beauties.

But at the far-right end of the mountain range, the hills seemed to break the band apart.

Time for us to go and you can see a new band started coming in to cross the face of the mountain that leads to the mountain range.

This band looked even bigger, but we had to leave before nightfall.

This is what things looked like when we arrived back at home, and an attempt at a colored halo did not work out very well due to the lack of clouds.

It is cold here now and all eyes are on the weather in the case of rain again, so we went to a shop to get an umbrella, can you believe that all the umbrellas were sold out, the small, medium, large, and extra-large sizes were all gone. But there was only one extra-extra-large umbrella available. So big that it feels like you are inside a tent when it opens and I know that if a small skinny lady has to walk under this umbrella in the wind, then she will be scooped up and landed in the ocean. The handle of the umbrella feels like a pole, but it is great for us as we don't care about looks and my camera is very excited as now it will be under a roof when it rains :)
Such is life.
