A Bi-plane in action.

Check how this guy trims a mountain. We were out in the doggy park when this guy came over. The old bi-planes had a very distinct engine sound, but I am not used to the sound of the new ones yet. So come and enjoy the ride.

My wife suggested a visit to the park to go and watch the doggies play and instead I ended up taking photos of a tin can dog playing in the sky. I did also get some shots of dogs at play, but the bi-plane took the first prize at the show for me.

This foodie van was our first destination and some pancakes with syrup and cinnamon plus 2 coffees was our Sunday lunch. At the park I took the shots of the bi-plane with half of a pancake hanging out of my mouth. It must have looked hilarious for some passersby, but I had to grab the opportunity with my camera to share the shots with you in here.

The pilot decided to fly very close over the rim of the mountain range.

Now watch below how he is going to give the mountain a haircut.

I held my breath as he was very close to the mountain peak and he would be done for if any part of the plane touched the rocks.
277.JPG

But he knew what he was doing as just by watching, one could tell that this guy was a very experienced flyer.

And then he turned around near the signal towers on the far right side.

He turned to run back over the face of the mountain.

And finally, he headed through this gap to disappear back to the airfield.

Just imagine for a moment that you were sitting in the seat behind that pilot. What would your thoughts be?
I know what mine would be, as I would have my camera working overtime to take photos of the landscapes below :)
As I said before, one can never know what to expect here on any given day, as there is always something special for the camera to feed on. The only rule is that one has to get out there in order to get the sights. Many times they happen right here at home and that's why my camera is always loaded and ready.
Such is life.

I hope that you have enjoyed the story and the pictures.
