A battle between two opposite winds at sunset.
When I saw the start of the low cloud sunset, I thought that it would not turn out like this.

10 photos in here from the start to the finish and, all pictures were taken from our front garden at home.
Just a low short line of clouds was concentrated in one area, and fortunately I stood right in the middle of the line. So, I thought that we would not have to drive out to a high spot, as the rest of the sky was clear. A big mistake, as that short line started to explode into two big fat clouds. I think that it was because the wind that drove the clouds came from two opposite directions.
I have posted a few times about the crashing winds from opposite directions that trap the clouds, between them, and in the picture above, you can see the meeting spot of a wind from the south, running into a cloud from the north. Right above a section of trees that is slightly towards the right-hand side of our house. The big tree was right in the middle to be seen from where I stood to take the shots.
So, let me show you the start with some lovely sunrays.
A fuller picture to show you the wind from the north coming in.
And then the wind from the south arrived, shooting sunrays at the clouds from the north.
The pigeons on the lamp post knew that it was time to quit and they plunged down to their nest in the lower branches of a palm tree.
Later on, a cloud from the south arose to meet with the cloud from the north.
And then the full engagement started to take place.
Full on, and so beautiful.
Finally, the wind from the north won the battle, as it smothered the clouds from the south with a dramatic effect.
I did not even have to run around, as everything took place right before the eyes of my camera :) Nature often springs up with unexpected, beautiful sights, and this day was ended with a golden crown. I really felt blessed to see this, as I love sunset shots, and when I see it, then it talks to my soul. Normally good messages to tell me that everything will be alright, and for us just to continue with our work and our lives.
I have seen a ton of sunsets in my long life, and not one of them has ever bored me. The clouds are always different, and nature continues to show the changes. Maybe a message to us that change is a constant, and that we simply have to embrace it. So many are scared of change, as they are comfortable with the as is, but it will never be the same as history continues to show us that change is not bad.
Just my way of looking at things.
Such is life.
I hope you enjoyed the pictures and the story.

Absolutely gorgeous pictures in today's post, the best part is you were able to take them from your own yard! That was interesting to see the winds in confrontation pushing the clouds around, but I guess the North was just too strong that day and won the battle. It sure produced some beautiful clouds for the sunset, they really did come out amazing.
You're right about every sunset being different. The clouds are never the same and nature is always evolving. We are lucky enough to be able to sit by and be observers! Some of the best sunsets I've ever seen were in Santiago, Chile due to all of the pollution. They were really stunning! The oddest one was in the eye of a hurricane as you could see the far eye wall slowly approaching, and the clouds were so thick everything just turned yellow. It was bizarre!
Life is change though, it's best to embrace it because stagnancy gets you nowhere in my experience. Another great post, I enjoyed it as always!
