What a beautiful, and intimidating creature.

Photographing rattlesnakes can be dangerous. Because of the small size of the Pygmy Rattlesnakes, "zooming in" becomes even more difficult. The head of this serpent is smaller than the size of a quarter. I think the coloration is amazing, and their eyes are incredible to look at. I took these photos yesterday of the first Western Pygmy Rattlesnake that I had seen in years. Enjoy the photos!
