Compartiendo hobbies con mi hermano. Tiempo de calidad 🫂 [Esp-Eng]

Es cierto el dicho de "El tiempo pasa tan rápido que no nos damos cuenta" y de un momento a otro vemos a nuestro pequeño hermano volverse todo un jovencito... Mi hermano lo es todo para mí, mi confidente y mi corazón entero y ahora que vivo en otra ciudad, casa que tengo la oportunidad de pasar tiempo con el, intento que sea de total calidad. Ahora me adapto un poco a sus hobbies de manera que él sienta que si me interesa lo que le gusta y que pueda compartirlo conmigo.

My brother means everything to me, he's my confidant and my whole heart, and now that I live in another city, whenever I have the chance to spend time with him, I try to make it count. Now I'm adapting a little to his hobbies so that he feels that I'm interested in what he likes and that he can share it with me.

En esta ocasión viajé de visita a mi casa y como él me había estado comentado que estaba practicando ajedrez y que no solo lo jugaba en linea sino que también tenía un tablero, le dije para que nos sentamos a jugar y me explicara algunos movimientos pues debo decirles que se ha vuelto todo un experto. Mientras jugábamos, no pude evitar sentir un poco de nostalgia porque mi hermano pequeño había crecido tanto mientras yo estaba fuera, y estos momentos de calidad son los que extrañamos cuando vivimos en otra ciudad. Por eso intento aprovechar al máximo cada momento que tenemos juntos.

On this occasion, I traveled home to visit, and since he had been telling me that he was practicing chess and that he not only played online but also had a board, I suggested that we sit down to play and he explain some moves to me, because I must say that he has become quite an expert. While we were playing, I couldn't help but feel a little nostalgic because my little brother had grown up so much while I was away, and these quality moments are what we sadly miss when we ponlive in another city. That's why I try to make the most of every moment we have together.

Jugamos un rato mientras me explicaba cómo jugar al ajedrez de verdad, y se molestó un poco conmigo porque movía las piezas al azar 😂. De hecho, hice algunas jugadas mal a propósito solo para que me explicara la forma correcta, porque se notaba lo mucho que disfrutaba enseñándome. El tiempo de calidad se trata de crear recuerdos y fortalecer los lazos que nos unen, y eso es lo que intento hacer cada vez que nos vemos. Claro que me enseñó mucho porque, aunque sabía jugar al ajedrez, era un conocimiento muy básico y simple sobre la dirección en la que se podían mover las piezas, y gracias a él, ahora sé mucho más.

We played for a while as he explained how to really play chess, getting a little annoyed with me as I moved the pieces randomly 😂. In fact, I made some moves wrong on purpose just so he would explain the correct way to do it, because I could tell how much he enjoyed teaching me. Quality time is about creating memories and strengthening the bonds that unite us, and that's what I try to do every time we get together. Of course, he taught me a lot because, although I knew how to play chess, it was very basic and simple knowledge about which direction the pieces could move, and thanks to him, I now know much more.

Quedamos en que cuando nos volvamos a ver, echaremos una partida amistosa (aunque creo que será difícil porque es muy competitivo 🤭), y hasta entonces, él seguirá perfeccionando su ajedrez, mientras que yo, siendo sincera, no creo que lo haga 😂, pero lo único que quiero es poder compartir con él y verlo disfrutar de un hobbie que tanto le apasiona.
