Hola querido hiver.

Sigo con la serie de publicaciones relacionadas con las fiestas patronales de mi ciudad, Zaragoza (España). En este post termino con las fotografías que tomé durante la Ofrenda de frutos, un acto que se celebra todos los años el día 13 de octubre. Puedes ver el resto de las fotos en los dos post anteriores, aquí (parte 1) y aquí (parte 2).

Hacia el final del desfile me fijé más en pequeños detalles que me llamaban la atención en lugar de buscar fotos amplias de grupo. También utilicé el modo de retrato de la cámara de mi teléfono con más frecuencia.

En esta parte los grupos pertenecían en su mayoría a pueblos de la región de Aragón. Por eso predomina la vestimenta de las clases más humildes y relacionadas con la gente del campo: sombreros de paja y ala ancha y pañuelos en la cabeza para protegerse del sol, alpargatazas como calzado asequible y ropas sin bordados.

Con los años han incorporado alusiones a su patrimonio cultural como este ejemplo de Longares. Su torre mudéjar es como un faro que se ve desde kilómetros a su alrededor y ellos pasean su réplica con orgullo. A sus pies, ramas de olivo junto con uvas y dulces de la localidad completan su ofrenda.

Los niños acaparaban la atención del público, por ejemplo esta pareja de (creo) hermanos. Me pareció una solución divertida cómo llevaban a ese pequeño sentado para que no se cansara.

Ya ves que los alimentos que se entregaban eran tan numerosos que lo más práctico era llevarlos con ruedas. Eso sí, bien colocados y adornados para que se luzcan.

Otro ejemplo de tradición: las "panistres" de Mazaleón. En determinadas fechas destacadas del año un grupo de niñas y mujeres hace una procesión llevando sobre sus cabezas una especie de cestillos con pan bendecido.

Las cestas manuales se adornan con cintas con los colores de la bandera de Aragón o con ese pañuelo rojo con cuadros negros que aquí llamamos cachirulo.

Cerraba el desfile de este año una figura de la Virgen del Pilar cuyo manto estaba confeccionado por cebollas.

I continue with the series of posts related to the patron saint festivities of my city, Zaragoza (Spain). In this post I finish with the pictures I took during the Ofrenda de frutos, an event that takes place every year on October 13th. You can see the rest of the photos in the two previous posts, here (part 1) and here (part 2).

Towards the end of the parade I focused more on small details that caught my eye rather than looking for large group shots. I also used the portrait mode on my phone camera more often.

In this part the groups belonged mostly to villages in the region of Aragon. That is why the clothing of the humbler classes and related to the country people predominates: straw hats and wide-brimmed hats and headscarves to protect them from the sun, espadrilles as affordable footwear and clothes without embroidery.

Over the years they have incorporated allusions to their cultural heritage like this example from Longares. Its Mudejar tower is like a lighthouse that can be seen for miles around and they proudly walk a replica. At its feet, olive branches along with grapes and local sweets complete their offering.

The children were the centre of attention, for example this pair of (I think) siblings. I thought it was a funny solution how they carried that little one sitting down so he wouldn't get tired.

You can see that the food that was delivered was so numerous that the most practical thing to do was to carry it on wheels. They had to be well placed and decorated so that they would stand out.

Another example of tradition: the "panistres" of Mazaleón. On certain important dates of the year, a group of girls and women make a procession carrying a kind of baskets with blessed bread on their heads.

The handmade baskets are decorated with ribbons in the colours of the Aragonese flag or with that red handkerchief with black squares that here we call cachirulo.

This year's parade was closed by a figure of the Virgen del Pilar whose mantle was made of onions.
