Ensayo naranja // Orange essay // Photo-essay Community Contest

Hola querido hiver.

Regreso con mi aportación para el concurso semanal de la comunidad Photo-essay. Hoy buscamos fotografías con el color naranja y usamos la etiqueta #orange-essay.

Por si te animas, te dejo aquí el enlace a la convocatoria de esta semana. Esta publicación es mi participación y te invito a que te unas y compartas con nosotros tus propias fotos. Solo necesitas 5 fotografías y 150 palabras que las describan.

De nuevo ha sido una propuesta desafiante. El color naranja no es muy abundante, al menos en la realidad que me rodea. Aun así he logrado capturar algunas instantáneas que ofrecerte. Al menos, aunque empecemos el repaso con flores, he encontrado algún que otro objeto en mi archivo con el que dar un toque más personal.

Como en anteriores ocasiones, los nombres de las flores son obtenidos con el identificador de imágenes de mi programa de fotografías y las he confirmado con la Wikipedia. Esta vez incluyo el enlace de cada una, por si quieres ampliar la información.

Como portada encontramos un precioso damasquino, flor del género tagetes. Donde vivo se utiliza como planta ornamental.

Una lantana. También se usa como adorno en los parques y jardines, en múltiples combinaciones de colores.

Flor de granado. Este árbol es muy curioso. Las flores son hermafroditas, esto es, se fecundan a sí mismas. Sus pétalos van saliendo poco a poco de esa especie de campana anaranjada.

Cuando los pétalos caen, el cáliz posterior crece y se transforma en el fruto, la granada, que contiene sus semillas y son lo que se come. Solas o con un poco de azúcar son deliciosas.

Esta calabaza la encontré en el huerto urbano que hay en el parque por el que voy a pasear.

Me ha hecho ilusión encontrar esta fotografía en mi archivo. Esto es un aparato que sirve para ayudar en la rehabilitación del movimiento de personas que han sufrido una lesión cerebral. Te cuento más sobre esto en este post de mi antiguo blog profesional.

Otro hallazgo del parque. Ojalá no hicieran falta este tipo de recordatorios y todos fuéramos más cívicos y cuidadosos con lo que es para beneficio público.

Nada como acabar con algo que puede salvar vidas. Ahora mismo sentaría de maravilla una vuelta en alguno de esos barquitos.

I'm back with my contribution to the weekly contest of the Photo-essay community. Today we are looking for photographs with the colour orange and we use the hashtag #orange-essay.

In case you're up for it, here's the link to this week's call for entries. This publication is my participation and I invite you to join in and share with us your own photos. You only need 5 photos and 150 words to describe them.

Again it has been a challenging proposition. The colour orange is not very abundant, at least in the reality around me. Even so, I have managed to capture some snapshots to offer you. At least, even if we start the review with flowers, I have found some other objects in my archive to give a more personal touch.

As in previous occasions, the names of the flowers are obtained with the image identifier of my photo programme and I have confirmed them with Wikipedia. This time I include the link to each one, in case you want more information.

As a cover we find a beautiful damascene, a flower of the genus tagetes. Where I live it is used as an ornamental plant.

A lantana. It is also used as an ornamental in parks and gardens, in many colour combinations.

Flower of pomegranate. This tree is very curious. The flowers are hermaphrodite, that is, they fertilise themselves. Their petals gradually emerge from this sort of orange bell.

When the petals fall, the posterior calyx grows and transforms into the fruit, the pomegranate, which contains its seeds and is what is eaten. On their own or with a little sugar, they are delicious.

I found this pumpkin in the urban garden in the park where I go for a walk.

I was delighted to find this photograph in my archive. This is a device used to help rehabilitate the movement of people who have suffered a brain injury. I tell you more about it in this post from my old professional blog.

This time the balloons are back!

Another find from the park. I wish we didn't need this kind of reminder and we were all more civic-minded and careful about what is for the public benefit.

Nothing like ending with something that can save lives. Right now, a ride on one of those little boats would do wonders.
