National Bike Day - Día Nacional de la Bicicleta ENG/ESP

I have been riding a bicycle since 2016, and honestly, I can say that cycling changed my life. Riding a bike freed me, not only as a woman, but as a person in general. Announcing myself and living as an urban cyclist has been one of the things I have loved most in life, and I know I always will.

I remember one special day with great emotion. It was National Bike Day, a Sunday with incredible sunshine. I had already been riding around Caracas for a few months, but this ride was unforgettable. We left from the center of the capital with a destination I had never visited before: the historic district of Petare.

Manejo bicicleta desde el año 2016, y honestamente, puedo decir que la bicicleta me cambió la vida. Montar bici me liberó, no solo como mujer, sino como persona en general. Anunciarme y vivir como ciclista urbana ha sido una de las cosas que más he amado en la vida, y sé que siempre lo seré.

Recuerdo un día especial con mucha emoción. Era el Día Nacional de la Bicicleta, un domingo con un sol increíble. Llevaba ya algunos meses rodando por Caracas, pero esta rodada fue inolvidable. Salimos desde el centro de la capital con un destino que nunca había visitado: el casco histórico de Petare.

That was, without a doubt, one of the best rides of my life. The energy of the group, the feeling of discovery, and the joy of riding under that radiant sky made that day a magical experience. That connection with the city and with the bicycle is something I will treasure forever!

Aquella fue, sin duda, una de las mejores rodadas de mi vida. La energía del grupo, la sensación de descubrimiento y la alegría de rodar bajo ese cielo radiante hicieron de ese día una experiencia mágica. ¡Esa conexión con la ciudad y con la bicicleta es algo que atesoraré por siempre!
