The Search for Ahmad's Workshop.

I arrived at the House of Wisdom to locate Ahmad ibn Musa. After speaking with Fazil and Kahraman, I investigated Ahmad's office, uncovering personal measuring tools and research notes. My attempt to find the book caretaker led to a botched assassination and a trap set by the treacherous Hamid Al-Haleem.

I had to investigate Ahmad's office in the House of Wisdom. After reaching close to the place, it looked like a restricted area for me, with high walls and guards stationed at every major entrance of the complex.

I called Enkidu to survey the area, where I mostly tagged the soldiers around the place. It looked like a heavily guarded place, with archers on the roofs and armored patrols circling the inner courtyards of the Great Library.

The place was heavily guarded for sure, but it was not restricted for me. I understood when I walked inside that the guards just stared at me and didn't say anything.

After getting inside, I noticed a crowd around an incident of burned books. An old man named Fazil was assuring the people that most of their books were safe and the danger had passed, though the air still smelled of ash.

Basim told Fazil that he was searching for Ahmad ibn Musa. Fazil recognized the name and mentioned he had a workshop there, though he admitted he had not spoken to the man lately, which felt a bit suspicious.

Basim mentioned I should also speak to the caretaker of books in the library. That's when I noticed a man named Kahraman, who pointed out that Ahmed's workshop was located right behind him.

When I was getting towards the office, Nehal called Basim and showed a book that she managed to save from the fire. They shared a brief chat, but Basim remained distant, focused only on the mission at hand.

Basim said he had things to do that didn't concern Nehal. She backed up, making a few jokes at his expense, while Basim continued his walk toward Ahmad's office to find the evidence he needed to progress.

After getting inside the office, I had to investigate around. I found some clues about what Ahmad was working on lately, including books and measuring tools similar to those Basim's father used to own, adding a personal touch.

I decided to find the caretaker of books who was likely in the southwest wing, but the way ahead was restricted for me. The atmosphere changed instantly as the guards here were much more aggressive toward anyone approaching the private archives.

I decided to take down the guard at the entrance, so I went for him and assassinated him. I didn't notice there was another heavy guard who saw the whole thing, so I had to escape from them quickly.

I found this man, Hamid Al-Haleem, who said he could help Basim find his target. I started following him outside the main library area, believing his peaceful talking and his offer to guide me to Ahmad's true location.

Hameed was talking so peacefully, as if he was just there to help. But after following him, he called some guards, claiming he was under attack; I understood it was an ambush by that innocent-looking man who was not innocent at all.

Until next time, happy gaming.
