The Blood and the Feather.

Basim made a public example of Al-Ghul, sealing the kill in a vision where an ancient ritual met a nightmare. After testing his new Assassin's Focus, he encountered Nehal, was pulled out by Roshan, and was sent home to search for answers.

Basim did not end Al-Ghul’s life with a simple strike from his hidden blade as I had expected. Instead, he executed a much more public and symbolic execution.

He used a rope to hang the man from the balcony, letting his body swing in full view of his elite guards, the weary laborers, and the shocked merchants gathered below.

Immediately following the kill, the world seemed to warp, and Basim was dragged into a cold, and space. This was the vision of the transition where the assassin and the target meet one last time.

Basim carefully drew a feather across Al-Ghul's blood, securing the definitive proof of the kill. This ritual felt ancient and heavy, cementing Basim's role as a true instrument of the Hidden Ones.

Just as Basim finished his task in that dark realm, a terrifying, familiar noise echoed through the emptiness. He spun around, eyes wide with fear, and realized that the monstrous Jinn from his nightmares had followed him here.

The creature loomed in the shadows of the dark room, hunting him even in his moment of victory. Fortunately, the vision broke, and Basim was pulled back into the physical world.

After eliminating Al-Ghul, I was blessed with the Assassin's Focus ability. I immediately put this special power to the test, witnessing how Basim can move with supernatural speed.

I was able to slow down time and select a sequence of targets, watching Basim blink from one enemy to the next in a perfect, fluid chain of assassinations.

Basim was surprised to see a familiar face among the ruins of the palace. Nehal was standing there, staring at him with an unreadable expression. Nehal immediately turned and began walking away.

Basim was about to go after Nehal, but Roshan appeared suddenly and grabbed him, dragging him out of the palace before the arriving reinforcements could surround them.

Once they had safely cleared the palace walls and reached the outskirts, Basim opened up to Roshan about the horrors he had seen. He also insisted that he needed to find Neha.

Roshan granted him permission to travel to his hometown. She told him to look for his friend and find the answers he sought, and also asked him to return to her and resume his duties to the Brotherhood after he's done.
