One Last Sweep.

My previous session was all about tracking down a specific key on a heavily guarded rooftop. I had to abandon my original plan of blending in when the guards spotted me, so I went back to the basics. I managed to eliminate everyone, including the lead guard, but I came up empty-handed on the key.

I was frustrated when I didn't find the key on the big guy, so I went back for the stragglers. There were two guards left on the roof. One of them was busy looking at some papers, completely oblivious to my presence. I crept up behind him and took him out quickly, ensuring the first of the leftovers was dealt with silently.

Then I went for the very last man on the roof. I didn't bother with stealth this time; I sprinted toward him and leaped into the air, driving my blade before he had even a second to react or reach for his weapon. With him gone, the rooftop was finally under my control.

While scouting the nearby area, I noticed a woman carrying an artifact. I moved in and skillfully pickpocketed the item. At first, she just kept walking as if nothing had happened, but a moment later, she realized it was gone and let out a scream. I didn't stick around to explain myself.

I still had a nagging feeling about that secret door, so I headed back into the headquarters to try my luck one more time. I was greeted by a soldier who had been lying in wait. I managed to overpower and take him down, clearing the path to the hallway.

I reached the door and gave the handle a firm pull, but just as I feared, it wouldn't budge. My assumption was correct, I definitely hadn't found the key on the big guy earlier. It was disappointing to be so close yet still locked out of whatever secrets were hidden behind that wood.

As I turned away from the door, I spotted another soldier marching down the hallway toward me. I didn't give him the chance to raise an alarm. I ran straight at him, closing the distance in a flash, and slit open his chest with my hidden blade. He slumped to the floor without a word.

I climbed back onto the roof and noticed a final big guard standing watch over the chest I had already looted. I couldn't stand the thought of leaving even one enemy standing in this place. I moved in and took him down.

Before making my final exit, I took down one last guard standing near a door and then made my way to the front gate. I stopped for a moment to look at the four dead bodies I had left there at the very start of this run.

With the mission a bust for now, I decided to leave the place behind.

Until next time, happy gaming.

These executions are becoming more and more impressive. I love seeing how you play with angles to show us a different perspective of each one. Cheers!
