Where the land ends - monomad challenge

Cabo da Roca is the westernmost point of mainland Europe. With its dramatic cliffs soaring over 100 meters above the Atlantic and relentless wind sweeping across the headland, it can feel like a wild and intimidating place.

Centuries ago, explorers believed this windswept outpost marked the very edge of the known world.

The legendary Portuguese poet Luís de Camões described its mystique with the haunting line:

“Here… where the land ends and the sea begins.”

Cabo da Roca lighthouse, built in 1772, is one of the oldest in Portugal and still functions today, guiding ships off the rocky coast.
