Homesick - Autumn details
A warm afternoon with a good old helios 44-2 lens and an idea to stretch my legs. A well-known valley in the shadow of the Drenovačka Chuka. Only a few hundred meters from the family house, on a winding road to the stream. Far from the concrete constructions that block the view towards the colorful transformation of nature.
In this part, in my childhood I used to go fishing. I often traveled miles downstream trying to reach inaccessible eddies full of brook trout. I stayed from morning till night hunting them with my grandfather's fly rod. Sometimes, along with friends, we would be turning the metal winch with bare hands for hours, in order to close the dam and create a swimming area in the upper part of the stream. A spedition company used to be located nearby, so we would remove the wheels from used old trucks in order to use the inner tires to make rafts and sail down the stream.
So many memories caught me on my way back, I remembered all the people I grew up with and all the imagination games we did back than.
Those were the days my friends..😄

Colorful and beautiful pictures. My wife and I also like fishing. The experience is very pleasant
Thanks. Fishing was part of my life for a long time, but I am not into it lately. When I realized that the local biosphere is seriosly damaged I just stopped. I must admit that I feel angry and sad at the same time, seeing what we did to our environment. Not being a part of it is at least what I can do.
