La Paz Desde La Pared

Ya en anteriores relatos les he conversado sobre la importancia y la relevancia del muralismo en Caracas, y su nueva concepción como elemento de rescate de espacios y de expresión colectiva o individual.

Collectively, communities use it to express their ideas, agreements, and political and/or cultural identity; individually, it is used as the discourse of a single man or woman who rises up to give it color and form, from the abstract and geometric to colorful compositions that fuse the urban and the environmental, creating an imaginary identity.

En lo colectivo, las comunidades lo utilizan para expresar sus ideas, acuerdos e identidad política y/o cultural; en lo individual, como el discurso de un solo hombre o mujer que se alza para darle color y forma, desde lo abstracto y geométrico hasta composiciones coloridas que fusionan en sí lo urbano y lo ambiental, creando un imaginario identitario.

This is evident in the mural by Felipe García, a renowned Venezuelan artist, located on Bulevar Panteón, in the headquarters of the Fundación Cultura in Caracas, Libertador municipality. A few meters from the mausoleum that holds the remains of Simón Bolívar, liberator and father of the nation.

Esto último se hace palpable en el mural de Felipe García, afamado artista plástico venezolano, ubicado en el Bulevar Panteón, en el edificio sede de la Fundación Cultura en Caracas, municipio Libertador. A pocos metros del mausoleo que guarda los restos del libertador y padre de la patria Simón Bolívar.

Felipe talks to us about nature as a whole, integrating elements of everyday life, the neighborhood, and the wild, giving us a sense of Caribbean familiarity.

Felipe nos habla de la naturaleza como un todo, integrando elementos de la cotidianidad, del barrio y lo silvestre, dándonos una sensación de familiaridad caribeña.

The work, with its bright and striking colors, makes the walk along the boulevard a peaceful and enjoyable experience, without neglecting its message of integration and peace.

La obra, de colores vivos y llamativos, hace que el recorrido por el bulevar se realice de manera sosegada, amena, sin dejar de lado su discurso de integración y paz.
