My Connection To The Plaza

Today I resume my activity, I had some mishaps in recent days, a big hello, friends, once again back to the Plaza de la Juventud, but this time my experience was very different, it was getting late afternoon and the sun was setting, as I walked I felt the vibe of that place, but this time it was different, at times I sat down and watched the young people who little by little were gathering in the plaza, some came in groups and brought speakers with loud music and they danced improvising steps and infected with their joy all those who passed by. Others were playing soccer, ping pong and some kids further away were playing volleyball.

Mi Conexión Con La Plaza

Hoy retomo mi actividad, tuve algunos percances en días pasado, un gran saludo, amigos, de nuevo de vuelta a la Plaza de la Juventud, pero esta vez mi experiencia fue muy diferente, caía la tarde y el sol se estaba ocultando, mientras caminaba sentía la vibra de ese lugar, pero esta vez era distinta, por momentos me senté y observe a los jóvenes que poco a poco se iban congregando en la plaza, algunos venían en grupos y traían altavoces con música en alto y bailaban improvisando pasos y contagiaban con su alegría a todos los que pasaban. Otros estaban jugando fútbol, pin pon y algunos chicos más alejados jugaban voleibol.

After a while, I realized: the plaza was full. I heard the children's contagious laughter, their conversations, the sound of balls and the music in the background. I felt that sense of freedom, where they could do whatever they wanted without worry. At times, I closed my eyes and remembered my youth, where one felt totally free. All this happened in a few moments when I fell asleep.

Después de un rato me di cuenta: la plaza estaba llena, oía la risa contagiosa de los chicos, las conversaciones entre ellos, el sonar de las pelotas y la música de fondo, se sentía esa sensación de libertad en ellos, donde podían hacer lo que quisieran sin preocupaciones. Por momentos cerré los ojos, y recordé mi juventud, donde uno se sentía totalmente libre. Todo esto pasó en unos instantes cuando me quedé dormido.

I immediately sprang into action. I continued walking and was surprised to see the buildings around me with striking lights. As day was fading, the buildings' tricolor lights began to turn on. It was a very nice attraction because it complemented the welcoming atmosphere of the square. It was the first time I'd seen the colored lights; I'd always walked by in the mornings. There's a contagious atmosphere, with the warm afternoon and a gentle breeze combined with the joy of the young people who emanate a special energy.

Inmediatamente, me puse en acción seguí caminando y me sorprendió ver los edificios a sus alrededores con llamativas luces ya el día estaba cayendo, y comenzaron a encenderse las luces tricolores de los edificios, una atracción muy bonita porque complementa lo acogedora de la plaza, primera vez que veo las luces de colores siempre he pasado en las mañanas. Se siente una atmósfera contagiosa, con la tarde cálida y una brisa tenue que se combina con la alegría de los jóvenes que emanan una energía especial.

Their spontaneity, especially that of the group, created a choreography and they improvised dances. When I walked by, they practically pulled me onto the dance floor to do some steps for them. Ha ha ha, well, I had to bring out my hidden child. I think one rejuvenates in these spaces. The plaza is no longer a physical space; now it's a meeting point, where all the young people of our city gather to share their friendship and have a good time amid the joy and laughter typical of our youth.

La espontaneidad, de ellos, sobre todo del grupo, armó una coreografía e improvisaban bailes. Cuando pasé por ahí, prácticamente me metieron en la pista para que les hiciera unos pasos. Ja, ja, ja, bueno, tuve que sacar mi niño escondido. Creo que en estos espacios uno rejuvenece. Ya la plaza no es un espacio físico, ahora es un punto de encuentro, donde todos los jóvenes de nuestra ciudad se reúnen para compartir su amistad y divertirse sanamente en medio de júbilos y risas propias de nuestros jóvenes.

My experience today was very pleasant and different because my activity was completely relaxing, and I was able to clear my mind of many worries I had. Sometimes we need that human connection to live life to the fullest.

Mi experiencia en el día de hoy fue muy agradable distinta porque mi actividad fue relajada completamente, y pude despejarme de muchas preocupaciones que tenía, algunas veces necesitamos esa conexión humana para vivir a plenitud.
