An impressive valley in south america, chile.

Hello friends of #hive today I want to show you a walk that I did to a very beautiful place in Chile called the Cajon del Maipo.

• This time I went with a Chilean friend who loves these adventures, exploring and walking along the river that is very large, The Cajon del Maipo valley is a valley and a very busy destination for the inhabitants of Santiago and the thousands of tourists who want to escape from the busy city as it is approximately 1 hour away by car you can enjoy many outdoor activities such as hiking, camping, biking, among other things. In addition, in the area there are many natural hot springs, or camping houses that offer relaxation such as massages or delicious local food for a rest that will surely rejuvenate you.

Remember to bring plenty of water, food and sunscreen, you can see in some pictures the imposing Andes mountain range at the end with snow in the middle of winter, which has been with quite a lot of climatic changes lately.

An important fact is that the Cajón del Maipo is a valley located in the middle of the Andes Mountains in Chile and extends for many kilometers, it is said that it has more than 100 kilometers from the beginning of the valley on the outskirts of Santiago to its deepest part which is very close to the border with Argentina.

Knowing this side of the world has opened my eyes and has made me tiny, this valley is incredibly big and I still have many places to visit and I hope to do it, I am very excited.

• In this adventure we decided to go by intercity bus to the town of San Jose del Maipo.

• San José del Maipo is a wonderful and quite quiet town in the middle of an incredible valley full of mountains where we were able to buy food and supplies to go down the river and start the hike.

-I have to mention that chilean wine is one of the best in the world, this particular one was a blend of several grape varieties that was more than tasty.

-We are in winter so we brought a wine to toast and to be able to get a few seconds in the water that was freezing, although the day was wonderful and the weather very balanced, we were able to eat Chilean chicken and beef empanadas that I loved.

• We walked along the river around the town and then down to the apple tree where the water was clearer but the path was a little more complicated, it was a long walk.

-In summary it is very large and you have to stay many days to see the many places in this valley, the next adventure we want to camp and stay several days to learn more about this amazing place.

-if you come to chile you can't miss it, in case you don't like camping you can make reservations at some inns, there are many with access to the river and the beach, it would be better to go in summer because the water is warmer.
