Getting to know new villages, wells and waterfalls | Conociendo nuevos pueblos, pozos y cascadas [ENG - ESP]

[ENG]

Hello friends of Hive, today I want to show you an incredible place that I met recently; located between the limits of the state of Lara and Trujillo in Venezuela...

Welcome to the village of "El Empedrado"

[ESP]

The main reason why we visited this place was to see a beautiful gorge in the area, but on the way we met incredible people who treated us like at home making us feel like family. Another thing that catches your attention are the beautiful landscapes that you can see from here.

Searching the internet I found that Empedrado "owes its name to its streets that were originally all built in stones." Source

I would also add: "and to its geography". Large boulders almost completely cover this valley, making the route to our destination a bit demanding, but with a great reward at the end of it...

Creek The Kings | Quebrada Los Reyes

After a long hike we arrive at the Quebrada "Los Reyes" an incredible spring of crystalline and refreshing water that flows over a large rocky surface, forming on its way beautiful pools and large waterfalls.

Originally, this place was known as "Quebrada del Zamuro Rey" because it was common to see this species (Sarcoramphus papa) in the area, and later it was called "Quebrada los Reyes", the name by which it is still known today.

The water is quite refreshing and helps to counteract the intense temperatures that are experienced in the place. Undoubtedly, this is another option within our state of Lara for adventure and hiking lovers.

Thank you very much for having read and arrived here, I hope you also liked this place.

Wow, this place in El Empedrado looks really amazing! The photos perfectly capture the wild and majestic beauty of this area. The large boulders that cover the entire valley create a truly unique and fascinating scenario.
