PhotoEdits @oscarps - Market and gastronomy of these lands (Extremadura)
A walk through this pleasant and authentic regional market is a unique experience full of flavors, colors, contrasts and encounters with the people and customs of this area of my country, Extremadura in Spain. The truth is that it is a constant suffering to walk and photograph, taste and taste all these delicacies that these kind merchants show us and that delight many of the people who visit it, also to my own suffering and pain.
Typical products from this area where the oils come to life, categories and classes of olives that give different nuances and aromas to this golden gold that is virgin olive oil. Craft beer doesn't fall short either and at one of the stalls I was talking to a friend who makes it. She was telling me what a large part of the preparation process was like and with each sentence and explanation that she left me, my appetite increased exponentially as she told me.
Now that I was telling you about and preparing these photographs, the immediate memory of this beautiful spring morning in the market came to my mind, I cannot resist and I went to the fridge at home to cut some of these sausages and cheeses that I bought that day in this wonderful place. I think that this morning between Iberian sausages and sheep and goat cheeses my senses were completely stunned and only one song was playing in my head, the one about eat me. I am not a person who likes to suffer like an idiot, so I paid attention to that issue and got to work, between stalls tasting and tasting what they offered and also acquiring some of these delicacies for a nice souvenir.

Un paseo por este agradable y autentico mercado comarcal es una experiencia única llena de sabores, colores, contrastes y de encuentro con gentes y costumbres de esta zona de mi país, Extremadura en España. Lo cierto es que es un constante sufrir pasearse y fotografiar, catar y degustar todas estas exquisiteces que nos muestran estos amables comerciantes y que hacen el deleite de muchas de las personas que lo visitan, también para mi propio sufrimiento y dolor.
Productos típicos de esta zona donde los aceites cobran especial vida, categorías y clases de aceituna que dan matices y aromas diferentes a este oro dorado que es el aceite de oliva virgen. La cerveza elaborada artesanalmente tampoco se queda corta y en uno de los puestos estuve hablando con una amiga que la elabora. Me estuvo relatando como era gran parte del proceso de elaboración y a cada frase y explicación que me dejaba mi apetito aumentaba exponencialmente en la medida que me iba contando.
Ahora que os estaba relatando y preparando estas fotografías me vino el recuerdo inmediato de esta preciosa mañana de primavera en el mercado, no puede resistirme y me acerque a la nevera de mi casa a cortar un poco de estos embutidos y quesos que adquirí ese día en este maravilloso lugar. Creo que en esta mañana entre embutidos ibéricos y quesos de oveja y cabra mis sentidos estaban completamente aturdidos y en mi cabeza solo sonaba una canción, la del cómeme. No soy una persona que le gusta sufrir a lo idiota así es que le hice caso a aquel tema y me puse manos a la obra, entre puesto y puesto catando y degustando lo que ofrecían y también adquiriendo para un bonito recuerdo algunos de estos manjares.
A veces resulta muy trabajoso elaborar una buena publicación pero este no es el caso. O cierto es que este post me ha resultado bien gratificante de prepararlo en todos sus aspectos, ya sea por haber estado en el lugar indicado a la hora precisa tomando fotos como en lo posterior de montaje y edición fotográfica.
