The image below is taken off a building. Clearly surprised to see this Ficus Religiosa plant growing off concrete.

For many, the Ficus Religiosa is more than foliage; it's a beacon of enlightenment.

It is a plant that is rooted deeply in Buddhist lore, it's believed Prince Siddhartha Gautama became the Buddha beneath its shade in Bodh Gaya, India. It is no wonder it is called Ficus Religiosa. They acts as reminders for religiosity and enlightenment.

Clearly, the tree's significance isn't solely spiritual. Notably hardy, the Ficus religiosa flourishes in varied soils, showcasing its adaptability. Moreover, its pioneering roots conquer urban challenges, often sprouting in unexpected nooks like building cracks.

Truly, this tree is a testament to resilience, both in faith and nature.

I always love to take photos of them as reminders for enlightenment, and Buddha Nature.
