Day tour of Bazar JB, Johor Bahru, Malaysia

A few days ago, we visited Johor for a day trip.

One of the popular tourist destination is the Bazar JB, or the JB night market. Unfortunately we are there for only for the day.

It is a pretty near location near the immigration checkpoint. You can consider visiting it if you are Johor Bahru or JB. People there know it as the old town, and it does get busy with activities at night, it seems.

During the day, the main reason most people come here is for this bakery at Jalan Tan Hiok Nee. It is called Hiap Joo Bakery, and it sells fantastic banana cakes and buns that are wood-fired. The lack of queue is a rarity.

There are also other eateries that are located within this vicinity. Since its an old town, there are some modern cafe built within these old shops. Just like this one below. The branding is quite modern looking, while the sign board says "Three Sisters".

The walkway can be quite stunning for photo taking if you ask me.

Of course, it is not all touristy. It has real people doing real life with businesses such as a provision shop.

Coming towards the end of the road, we saw the red building with wonderful murals.

Thereafter we took our car and drove off! It is perfect for a short stopover if you wish to see day time Johor that is not the shopping malls!

It is a very colorful place and I loved it and I find it curious the amount of flags in all the stores, I wonder if that day you went to visit, was it a holiday?

It has been a brief stop, but it has left a great satisfaction.
