Sunday ☀️ 10242

The morning after yesterday’s rainy day was, as expected, quite cool but pleasant, not cold and only slightly windy. The humidity was a bit high at first, but still tolerable, before it dropped again fairly quickly later on. So I hopped on my bike and headed to Jungfernheide. It was wonderful to breathe that damp air in the park again; of course, it smelled intensely of the forest, while all the birds did their best to treat me to a morning concert as I enjoyed it all while doing interval walking. On the shore of the island in the large pond, I let the sunlight’s reflection dance on my closed eyelids while I took a few deep, long breaths and cleared my head as best I could. Since it was so beautifully sunny, the water tower made for a perfect subject today, and on my way there I even hoped I might catch a glimpse of the kestrel nesting in one of the tower’s windows. Unfortunately, I wasn’t that lucky, so I focused instead on taking a few close-ups of the stone figures on the tower. The light was fantastic with the sun not quite high up yet.

Der Morgen nach dem gestrigen verregneten Tag war wie zu erwarten recht frisch, aber angenehm, nicht kalt und nur leicht windig. Die Luftfeuchtigkeit war zuerst etwas hoch, aber auch noch in erträglichem Masse, bevor sie dann später auch wieder recht schnell zurückging. Also ab aufs Rad und los zur Jungfernheide. Herrlich wieder diese feuchte Luft im Park, der natürlich auch wieder intensivst nach Wald roch, während alle Vögel ihr Bestes gaben, mir ein Morgenkonzert zu geben, während ich all das im Intervall-Walking genoss. Am Ufer auf der Insel im großen Teich liess ich die Reflexion des Sonnenlichts auf den geschlossenen Augenlidern spielen, während ich ein paar ausgiebige tiefe und lange Atemzüge tat und den Kopf frei machte so gut es ging. Da es so schön sonnig war, bot sich heute der Wasserturm als Motiv an, und auf dem Weg dorthin hoffte ich eventuell sogar, den im Turm in einem der Fenster nistenden Turmfalken zu sehen zu bekommen. Das Glück hatte ich leider nicht, und deshalb habe ich mich auf ein paar Nahaufnahmen von den Steinfiguren am Turm konzentriert. Super Licht mit der noch nicht ganz so hoch stehenden Sonne.
