From a drop of Water to grown Sheep - My Actifit Report Card: July 24th, 2026

A wonderful morning for a long walk through the Schleusenland (the area around the big Charlottenburg shiplock and it‘s weir) behind the palace gardens. The air was damp, and the woodsy, earthy scents were everywhere after yesterday’s rain. It was also a perfect day for picking lots of delicious, ripe, sweet blackberries for breakfast on the go, guarded by thorns and, in some places, by orb-weaver spiders sitting in their intricate webs. It was also a very productive morning in terms of motivation, compared to yesterday. There was so much to take in today, and I was open to seeing and noticing it all, from tiny water droplets on leaves to the sheep still lying around sleepily in the palace gardens. I’ve also brought you a photo of the hidden stream in Schleusenland, where I do breathing exercises and meditate while watching the water rush by.
Ein großartiger Morgen für eine ausgiebige Runde durch das Schleusenland (der Bereich rund um die grosse Charlottenburger Schleuse und ihrem Wehr) hinter dem Schlosspark. Feuchte Luft, waldig holzige Gerüche überall nach dem gestrigen Regen. Außerdem ein perfekter Tag für sehr viele leckere, reife, süße Brombeeren zum Frühstück unterwegs, bewacht von Dornen und teilweise auch von Kreuzspinnen, die in ihren aufwändigen Netzen sassen. Es war zudem auch ein sehr ergiebiger Morgen, was Motivation angeht, im Vergleich zu gestern. Es bot sich heute sehr vieles an und ich war auch offen, dies alles auch zu sehen, wahrzunehmen. Von kleinen Wassertropfen auf Blättern bis zu den Schafen, die noch schläfrig im Schlosspark herumlagen. Ich habe euch auch mal ein Foto von dem versteckten Bach im Schleusenland mitgebracht, an dem ich Atemübungen mache und meditiere, während ich dem vorbeirauschenden Wasser zuschaue.
