Water Themed Construction Sites - My Actifit Report Card: May 12th, 2026

Tuesday ☀️ 8024
A rather chilly but sunny Tuesday morning. I walked the peninsula loop using interval walking. Since I had extended the route a bit, I came across interesting things like the painted aquarium in front of the construction site and watched as a strange machine called a “Silent Piler” at a waterworks site drove these steel sections, certainly eight meters long, into the ground as new bank reinforcement, without making much noise. It was interesting to see how long it took to install each piece. Since it had to be positioned precisely, they were constantly measuring and readjusting it several times until it was finally welded to the previous piece. The “Silent Piler” itself sat like an insect on the parts already in place and lifted itself up on the steel part currently being installed before it was fully embedded in the ground, moving forward in this manner. The device could be moved in all directions via remote control through several joints. That was a very interesting technical experience for a change from the otherwise numerous nature observations in the morning.

It looks very technical my friend, I'm sure they are skilled at what they're doing with the "silent Piler"!👍
Looks like a beautiful day for your healthy 8K @actifit steps my friend!!👍😄
