A Beaver‘s Work and some Ducks on Ice -My Actifit Report Card: February 7th, 2026

Oh wonder, 3 degrees Celsius this morning. It almost felt like T-shirt weather compared to the last few weeks, just kidding. No rain or snowfall and everything thawing quite quickly. I walked the Mierendorffinselroute and most of the route was very easy to walk on without constantly having to tread carefully. Finally, I was able to look ahead again while running and take in my surroundings instead of constantly having to look down to avoid slipping. This meant that interval walking was finally possible again. Someone else has also been busy: the beaver is defying winter and busily felling trees, and I've brought you the proof. There are also a few ducks on the ice, who obviously find it quite cozy to surround themselves with their poop.
Oh Wunder, 3 Grad plus heute Morgen. Fühlte sich fast an wie T-Shirt-Wetter im Vergleich zu den letzten Wochen, kleiner Scherz. Kein Regen oder Schneefall und alles recht schnell am Abtauen. Ich bin die Mierendorffinselroute gegangen und die meisten Strecken waren sehr gut begehbar, ohne dauernd wie auf Eiern zu tanzen. Endlich konnte ich beim Gehen mal wieder mehr nach vorn sehen und die Umgebung wahrnehmen, als dauernd nach unten sehen zu müssen, um nicht auszurutschen. Intervall-Walking war daher auch endlich wieder gut möglich. Jemand anderes war auch fleißig, der Biber trotzt dem Winter und fällt fleißig Bäume, und den Beweis hab ich euch mitgebracht. Auch ein paar Enten auf Eis, die es offensichtlich ganz gemütlich finden, sich mit ihrem Poop zu umgeben.
