Alien Eggs and a Heron’s Charging Station - My Actifit Report Card: August 22nd, 2025

The morning carried a cooler, windier whisper. I had chosen to interval walk the peninsula loop for a change, letting my breath find rhythm with the waves while short meditations grounded me at the water’s edge. Not every morning turned into a masterpiece for the eyes, and some days the light simply refused to play along. Still, I brought you a few photos from another day of some beautiful bald cypress cones, their shapes look more pronounced each time, reminding me of the „Alien“ eggs that a Xenomorph left behind. And then there was the grey heron, perfectly perched in what I jokingly called its charging station, a fleeting thought that stuck with me as the scene unfolded with all the branches that look a bit like cables.
Der Morgen war kühler und windiger. Ich hatte zur Abwechslung die Halbinselroute zum Intervall Walking gewählt. Dazu Atemübungen im Rhythmus der Wellen, während ich mich mit einer kurzen Meditation am Ufer des Wassers erdete. Nicht jeder Morgen wurde zu einem Meisterwerk für die Augen, und an manchen Tagen wollte das Licht auch einfach nicht mitspielen. Dennoch habe ich euch ein paar Fotos von einem anderen Tag mitgebracht, von wunderschönen Sumpfzypressenzapfen, deren Formen jedes Mal ausgeprägter aussehen und die mich an die „Alien“ Eier erinnern, die ein Xenomorph hinterlassen hat. Und dann war da noch der Graureiher, der perfekt in dem saß, was ich scherzhaft seine Ladestation nannte, ein flüchtiger Gedanke, der mir im Gedächtnis blieb, als sich die Szene mit all den Ästen, die ein wenig wie Kabel aussehen, entfaltete.
