The morning was thick like soup after a tropical sweaty night, the kind that clings to your skin and slows your steps. I took the Luiseninsel loop, a lush little path that felt like walking through someone else’s dream. No sun, just steam, each interval of walking left me soaked. I sweated through every step, but under the old four-armed alder tree by the water, I paused. I breathed. I meditated. It smelled like rain-soaked soil, rich and earthy, still hanging heavy over the whole park. Back home, the shower washed off more than sweat, it scrubbed the fog from my mind. The crazy humidity didn’t just drench me, it tricked some mushrooms into popping up way too early now in July. I brought a few of them back to show you, wild and wonderful. And guess what? I accidentally caught someone else in the shot, a slow, slimy little stowaway: a nudibranch, just minding its moist business. Can you spot it?

Der Morgen war dick wie Suppe nach einer tropischen verschwitzten Nacht, die einem auf der Haut klebt und jeden Schritt schwer macht. Ich ging die Luiseninselrunde, ein verwunschener Pfad wie aus einem fremden Traum. Keine Sonne, nur Dampf, jedes Intervall brachte Schweiß in Strömen. Ich schwitzte bei jedem Schritt, doch unter der alten vierarmigen Erle am Wasser hielt ich inne. Ich atmete. Ich meditierte. Es roch nach nasser Erde, satt und würzig, der Duft hing noch überall im Schlosspark. Zuhause wusch die Dusche nicht nur den Schweiß weg, sondern auch den Nebel im Kopf. Die krasse Feuchtigkeit brachte auch ein paar Pilze dazu, viel zu früh jetzt schon im Juli aus dem Boden zu schießen. Ein paar davon hab ich euch mitgebracht, wilde, wunderbare Wesen. Und ratet mal, wen ich da zufällig mit aufs Bild bekommen hab: eine Nacktschnecke, langsam und glitschig, ganz in ihrem feuchten Element. Könnt ihr sie finden?
