The air felt thick as a sponge soaked in summer, and sweat clung like a second skin. On this humid morning, I dragged myself into the day with a walk through the Tiergarten. I didn’t rush. Instead, I walked in intervals, feeling the rhythm of the quiet city before it stirred. At Neuer See, I paused to breathe and let my thoughts settle like leaves in still water. Then came the surprise. After more than a decade, the legendary Löwenbrücke stood proudly open. The lions, once dull and forgotten, now gleamed in bold gold. The bridge’s long-awaited rebirth had taken one and a half years, but it shone like a promise kept. Crossing it again after so long felt like reclaiming a lost chapter.

Die Luft war dick wie ein feuchter Schwamm, und der Schweiß klebte wie eine zweite Haut. An diesem schwülen Morgen zog es mich in den Tiergarten. Ich ging in Intervallen, ohne Eile, genoss die Stille vor dem städtischen Sturm. Am Neuen See atmete ich tief durch und ließ meine Gedanken zur Ruhe kommen. Dann die Überraschung: Nach über zehn Jahren war die legendäre Löwenbrücke endlich wieder offen. Die Löwen, einst matt und vergessen, glänzten jetzt auffällig golden. Anderthalb Jahre dauerte die Erneuerung, doch nun strahlt sie wie ein eingelöstes Versprechen. Sie wieder zu überqueren fühlte sich an, als würde man ein verlorenes Kapitel zurückerhalten.
