The morning mist hugged the trees as I walked the Luiseninsel loop, already feeling the weight of the world melt away. I paused by the water, closed my eyes, and breathed deeply, letting each inhale sharpen my senses like sunlight slicing through fog. A stranger passed by and, with a quiet tone, told me the sad story: the two swan babies were gone, likely taken by a fox or an unleashed dog. Brutal, but not rare. Nature does not coddle. Still, between the bite and the beauty, we witness moments that make us stop. So I picked a rose for you. It wasn't just lovely, it had that rare, rich scent that reminds you life's still sweet, even when it stings.

Der Morgen war mild, und ich nahm die Runde über die Luiseninsel, während der Nebel noch zwischen den Bäumen hing. Am Wasser hielt ich inne, atmete tief und meditierte ein paar Minuten, als wäre jeder Atemzug ein kleiner Neuanfang. Ein Passant erzählte mir beiläufig, dass die beiden Schwanenküken gefressen wurden, vermutlich von einem Fuchs oder einem unangeleinten Hund. Traurig, aber leider nicht ungewöhnlich. In der Natur herrscht kein Mitleid. Doch zwischen Fressen und Gefressenwerden begegnet man auch Wundern. Deshalb habe ich euch heute eine Rose mitgebracht. Nicht nur schön, sondern eine von denen, die wirklich duften, wie eine stille Erinnerung daran, dass das Leben auch duftet, selbst wenn es manchmal schmerzt.
