Wednesday ☀️ 8350

The morning wrapped me in warmth and mist like a familiar old coat. Clouds hung heavy, the air thick with moisture, and the scent of damp forest floor drifted through the palace gardens. I walked the Luiseninsel loop, not rushing, just breathing. Near the water, I balanced on one leg, slow breaths syncing with the quiet splash of a beaver's surprise visit. A pair of swans greeted the day with calm dignity, their heads rising like royalty waking. Later, a troop of flashy male mandarin ducks strutted past, bright as painted porcelain. I even managed to catch a few snapshots for you. Aside from those moments of magic, it stayed mostly gray and wet, the kind of day that makes you slow down and listen.

Der Morgen hüllte mich in Wärme und Nebel wie ein vertrauter Mantel. Die Wolken hingen schwer, die Luft war feucht und roch nach Waldboden. Ich ging die Luiseninselrunde im Schlosspark, ohne Eile, einfach atmend. Am Wasser balancierte ich auf einem Bein, während ein planschender Biber auftauchte. Ein Schwanenpaar sagte mit ruhiger Würde Guten Morgen, ihre Köpfe erhoben sich wie Könige beim Erwachen. Später begegnete mir eine ganze Truppe männlicher Mandarinenten, bunt wie Porzellanfiguren. Ich habe sogar ein paar Fotos für euch mitgebracht. Abgesehen von diesen magischen Momenten blieb der Tag meist grau und verregnet, einer dieser Tage, die einen dazu bringen, langsamer zu werden und wirklich hinzuhören.
